I'm running build 10130. It's nearly a daily driver for me now. It's definitely better than Windows 7, that's for sure. I'm definitely upgrading.

Already have the W10 preview so definitely, but still stuck on build 10041 so I'm a little behind on updates, haha... Finally figured out a way that may actually let me update, though, so fingers crossed!

Zer0, when did you upgrade to 10130, out of curiousity?
When my mum installed it on her laptop a few days ago the build actually crashed altogether and screwed up the computer - wouldn't boot at all. (Thankfully we've managed to put 10074 back on w/ a disk we made earlier, but I just wanted to know if you had any stability problems with it?)

Nope! Keeps all your files and programs. (Though I would recommend backing up any files beforehand if you do upgrade, just in case you get an error during the installation process.)

If you upgrade (meaning do not install the .iso file on their site) using the technical preview upgrade .exe you won't lose a thing.

I installed 101300 a week ago, I believe. Its the first real build that runs very smooth and is now my daily driver.

Did you upgrade, download the .iso, or did you download the leaked non-fbl build?

If you installed the non-fbl build, there is your problem.

Uh, if you're asking about installing 10130, she just did the regular upgrade through Windows Updates. (Though there is a possibility that the virus checkers may have been all that was interfering, haha)

If you mean the upgrade speed, no, I've set the preview builds to slow updates - I use this laptop for homework so I'd rather a build that's had the issues worked out rather than seeing new features upon release, haha. My laptop's just had issues installing 10074 - (all the previous build installations worked first try) - constantly getting errors at different points of the installation during it's many attempts to upgrade though the regular Windows Update. Also tried burning the .iso to a disk and installing it from the boot menu, but for some reason I couldn't get that open? (realised now though I think I was pressing the wrong button - going to try again tonight ;;; )
Also tried installing from the disk after log-in since I obviously couldn't boot to it, but that failed, as well. Think my laptop's just being nitpicky. >.>

^It's not just for tablets, it's for any W7 or W8 user. In fact, it's mainly the PC version we're referring to here.
