First post, so bear with me if this has been asked in the past. Quick search did not yield results.

In what way does everyone play the game? For example:

1. Do you play through each level with a single figure or multiple?
2. Do you play each level with each character at least once?
3. Do you wait until all figures are released before playing?
4. Do you play through after each wave is released?
5. Other?

Ive been collecting for a little over a year now. Not getting the chase variants, but basically have all ingame variants except volcanic vault, giants sidekicks, fire bone hot dog, horn blast whirlwind, turbo jetvac, most of the eons elites, and the yet to be released trap team figures & traps. I came up with the idea originally to try to play through the games with each & every character (doing each level with each character), but this seems like it'll take a long time.

I hope this makes sense what I'm trying to say. I've been holding off serious play until i came up with a plan of attack. So how do you all play?

i play my favorites, the others collect dust, im in it more for collecting them vs playing the game, but once i max a character i swap out for a new one.

well trap team became a problem because they pretty much almost eliminated elemental zones.

I tended to always pick 1 of each Core Skylander and they will be switched based on the elemental zone. IF by any chance they are defeated they take on a swap force/giant character.
IN trap team I pretty much played the same except with limited elemental I decided that the trap master would keep going after defeating the villain of it's type until elemental zone changed.

...to be honest, you don't need a "plan of attack". Just play it with your favorite character actors after trying them out.

I play through levels with multiple Skylanders, but it's usually with the same ones
A lot of my Skylanders sit there for months without being used, unless it's a Boss fight
I plan on buying the Portal Owners pack for Sky 5 around the time its released, but I've gotten most of the previous games during Christmas
I buy the characters as they are released, and complete Story Mode ( not all the collectibles, just the level ) right after I get the game, usually in about a week~

I like to use multiple characters in levels, but I usually like to think about which skylanders to pair up with which villains in each level to add to the strategy.
