You mean the little island where the locked chest is?

Just go up to the highest cliff where the fireworks-thingy was and press X and X again at the top of your jump to glide over to the little island-thingy.

Make sure you have the key first, though. Unless you're talking about something else?

The chest was easy to get to, but the key is in a place that's impossible to jump to :L

Have fun. :3

Spyro 1 > 2 > 3

FACT.

3 was way overfilled with "we have too many ideas let's use them all" with the characters and levels (had awesome music though), 2 literally perfected 1's formula, and 1 is the most fun. OK I admit that I'm bias towards spyro 1, I just happen to really love that game. Was a huuuuuuuuge part of my childhood.

Three isn't overfilled, It only takes me like, an hour to complete a homeworld, I wouldn't say that's overfilled considering the first game takes waaay longer than that to beat, or at least for me. 1's controls and the way spyro feels just make me ugh. I like 1 the least, and I'm p sure I got 1 first, but my favorite is 2.

3 is probably the best. But it's just not my favorite.

Eh, IMO 2>3>1.

Face it, compared to Spyro 2 and 3, Spyro 1 is bare. It truly is.

Spyro 2 and 3 also featured brighter levels (which I love in platformers) and the controls are a lot tighter in Spyro 2 and 3. Spyro 1's controls were too floaty.

The third Spyro game stresses me out cause of those Sparx mini games and having to find the eggs. Then again, I haven't played it in awhile so it might be easier for me now.

Forget floaty controls in Spyro 1, he had ice physics and there was some really bad collision detection with some of the ledges. The hover ability definitely fixed the issue with long glides.

I remember that jump.

I felt so accomplished when I finally did it.

Spyro 1 was extremely tough to get 100% on. Spyro 3 was even tougher (had to use cheats via a GameShark). Didn't even try on Spyro 2, I just beat the game and said screw it.

It was hard for me to complete Spyro 1 for years, but after I figured it out it became a breeze. My favourite of the first three is Ripto's Rage/Gateway to Glimmer and I actually find that harder than Spyro 1 nowadays, but not by a lot. Spyro 3 is hard for me since it's not really my favourite, some of the mini-games are frustrating or just tedious for me, I guess (on another note, it was the first Spyro game I played)

Philo, there are going to be more points like this later on in the game; Tree Tops and Haunted Towers are two that jump to the front of everyone's mind. Don't use a walkthrough unless you absolutely have to- scour the level first and try everything. Just warning you, so have fun with those!

Well, saying this is the second reason I came here, so I guess now I don't have to (even though it still hasn't been moved...).

Also, since this is being talked about, RR perfected StD's formula, and YotD is too filled with minigames and things that, in my opinion, break the flow of the game and the player's immersion, so 2 > 1 > 3. And that's a fact.

1 = 2 > 3 in my book. I like Spyro 3, but 1 and 2 are tied for my favorites overall. It probably helps that 1 and 2 are among the very few games I have basically memorized while 3 is still a challenge for me that isn't always fun.
