I don't know if this should be put here or somewhere else but it's worth a shot, I've been trying to find something about it for the past few days with no luck.
Out of nowhere, I turned on my Wii U and the Gamepad isn't responding. I checked the batteries, charged it fully, and re-synced it to no avail. The analog sticks, D-Pad, X and Y buttons, and the touchscreen don't work on the main system menu. However, when I had gotten to Super Smash Bros via Wii remote, the Gamepad worked perfectly, no problems at all. I checked in the menu again and it still happened. In order to use the touchscreen you have to apply a huge amount of pressure on the screen, but it still randomly and barely worked. Every other buttons worked fine (A and B buttons, TV, Home, Power, etc.)
I turned it on just now and it won't move past the Quick start screen. It only shows the unresponsive QS Screen on the Gamepad and the Wii U logo on the TV. It has so far only registered a touchscreen press once and nothing happened. All other buttons don't work. After about 8 minutes it turns off.
I have had my Wii U since 2012 and haven't done anything extreme with it, the worst that's happened to it is when I put it in a bag to take it somewhere, and that was almost a year ago. It's worked perfect until just 3 days ago when this started happening. Any ideas or advice anyone can give?
EDIT: I believe the problem has been fixed, so there is no need for this topic. Thanks for the help!
