What the title of the topic says. Just did a quick search to see there's a topic with the keyword "Spore": nothing of interest. Just found a video from YouTube user named Lighting Flame (channel name: UCV2hwYHwMPyeX5VTyv3X63A) who posted this video on 2014 May 20.

What is particular about the game Spore is that there is an unused stage editor which can be accessed with a mod. Mind that I have no idea how much capable the stage editor is because I never interacted with it; still worth sharing though!

A game that could've been great but it's used mostly for Galatic Adventures maps because what it was meant to be is kinda half-baked.

In a nutshell, The Sims for an entire species. You start out as a cell, become an animal, then a tribe, then a city, then you set out to conquer or explore space. No, it's a dozen times less exciting than it sounds. I think I got to City like twice but couldn't handle another watered down RTS after Tribe.

so how does it work for Spyro? is this just a crack of the engine, to be used for other methods of modding?

I've seen some maps inspired by games be modded to include more accurate stuff, or sometimes the game(the Galatic Adventures expansion) allows just enough for it as long as your creature actually looks the part.
