I wish I had Science Class. but due to my disabillity(All students on my school have a disabillity with ther eyes) we have no science class. We only have nature-math-somethingsomething but you only get that the first 2 years of your schooltime there.

Does your school have Science Class? And if so, how does it go? Do you test? Or just books? I'm curious.

Science class was a requirement all through school here. Middle school was just general science stuff, each year of high school focused on a certain science, i.e. 9th grade-biology, 10th-chemistry, 11th-physics. 12th offered a bunch of different sciences you could choose from.

9th grade-biology and 10th-chemistry seem realy interesting. I like Biology(which we somehow do have).
Can you explain about both?

In my school, we're allowed to choose our sciences when we reach S3(or 9th grade for americans). They're the sciences S&S mentioned above. I took Physics and Chemistry, and both are quite interesting to learn about at my school. In Physics, we're studying energy(like kinetic energy and potential energy) whilst in Chemistry we're looking at naturalistic Chemistry(like crude oil and what makes it up).

Fascinating! I would've loved to take part in Chemistry once, but I never can. I've done it once though. I think it was a very simple test involving leafes and toxins of some kind (forgot name). We had a small test to see how plant-life and Chemistry mix whith each other

Poor leafes where a pile of gulp 3 hours later, but it's still fascinating to see what's left of Nature's life after human's destruction. It interests me alot.

But I'm highly against brutal animal testing. That's just a no no

If you don't mind me asking, why can't you take science out of all classes because of a disability to do with the eye?

I did (and am still doing for 1 more exam) Chemistry and have finished my iGCSE Biology. I found/find Chemistry ok and am pretty good at it. Biology is relatively easy, however you have to learn 16 chapters of every possible thing in biology in moderate detail. Result? Information overload!

Yes, and they're definitely my favorite classes. I don't remember what I had in my freshman year, but I took Biology as a sophomore and Anatomy as a junior, and I'm planning on taking Physics and Earth/Space Science next year. Biology was pretty basic, just learning about the kingdoms of life and the things that inhabit them, and I enjoyed it. Anatomy was trickier, but I liked it too, and I'll go into more detail since it's still fresh in my mind. My main problem with it was that I had to remember a buttload of very specific things, like individual bones and their landmarks, the parts of an organ, and of course, all of the insanely convoluted names they decided to give these things. The hardest lesson for me was probably the parts of the brain, because it boiled down to distinguishing one featureless gray blob from another, identical featureless gray blob.

We did a lot of dissections in those classes, including a worm, a starfish, a frog, a sheep's heart and brain, and a fetal pig. We even got to examine a cadaver at one point. It was very fascinating to get a hands-on experience with the parts of the body.

Dont ask. They give silly reasons. Such as us not being able to see "what we do"

I remember doing some dissections. Hilarity usually ensues like that time my class started throwing pieces of sheep heart at each other. Not to mention that time we had to dissect a rat with scissors (which lead to head puppet making and..."other manipulations"). Then the worst was the cow eye which was hard to penetrate and just stank of death so I almost passed out smilie

During my 3 years oh high school I had some form of science class. There was notes, tests, books, and labs.

In high school here science was compulsory until year 10, but "highly recommended" at year 11. From year 12 you could choose between physics, bio and chem, or just no science I guess. I think there are other science subjects technically in the curriculum like space science and stuff but my school didn't offer them. I took physics in both year 12 and 13, cause I'm good at math mostly.
