Model reusal is a sin of equal use from both VV and TFB. It's a few bucks saved from having the 3D artist make new ones, and if you look hard enough it's in every game - especially in Heroic Challenges and the bonus missions.

I actually like the shape of Tae Kwon Crow's shurikens better than the rest.

Terrafin's baby sharks are just Terrabites without any animation.

The effect? Yes.

Effects are common to reuse, even more because it's not as noticeable as a model. And to be fair, no one's going to bat an eye if you make your purple mist slightly bluer or reddier than the other purple mist so why even waste money.

Well honestly it disappoints me a bit.
I was hoping Enigma's mist was a lighter shade of purple.

I honestly care about such small details I think these little touches are what make a good game a great one.
Don't think it would have taken that much to tweak the color a bit.

That being said Trap Team has a lot of other fantastic details.
This is just a small pity.

Yeah,but a different shade that's only around for a few seconds is very little compared to particles or mood aesthesics in a level like the Undead mist in Kaos Doom Challenges. They COULD just change the saturation to make it more Magic-y, but it's time and artist salary they could've spent elsewhere. Of course, we don't even know how early or late in development those were made.

Though, I think Blackout's Black Hole Supernova effect would've worked better for Knight Mare. It's slightly harder to see in but if you're relying on Shadow Clones you can tell who are the actual enemies in the grayed-out colors.

I grew up with Morrigan using the same character sprites for like 15 different games
MK Ninjas looked the same for over a decade

If you want I can que up the world's smallest violin and prove I only play drums and piano and suck on strings...
