I really want to change my name into ChopperFan. But i don't want to make a new account because of gems.

I don't know. I wouldn't mind it just being like a one off changing thing, but I wouldn't really like it if it was whenever you wanted, as it casues a lot of confusion. >.<

Yeah WhirlwindFan is right. It should be like
under ur name it says : used to be [Username]
Or maybe you could change it once per 3 months or something.

Why don't do it the same way as in Deviantart? Like, when somebody changes username it says "formerly blahblahnumbernumber"? And once you do change username you can't change it for a year or so...

The only way to change your name is to make a new account and abandon your current one. the rules suggests that there actually isn't a way to implement changeable usernames on the site's architecture.

And gem day (when you get 100 gems for signing in within the past month) is 4 days away. So even if you really care about the amount of gems you have (you shouldn't, especially at that low number), you'll get them back within 2 weeks.
