To me it's "New Divide" by Linkin Park

Thanks to some old fan videos:

"Our Solemn Hour" and "Forgiven" by Within Temptation. "Move" by 1000 Foot Crutch (that video clashed with LoS so badly; it was a masterpiece of comedy XD). "You Fight Me" by Breaking Benjamins went with a really well done story retelling of ANB.

I know a lot of songs that say Spyro and Cynder to me, but I don't know about Spyro alone right now. Then again, Hero by All Insane Kids might work.

I've seen a fan video using a Coldplay song named "Life in Technicolor" which is the intro song for the album: Viva la Vida or Death and All His Friends.
Also, another Coldplay track "Rainy Day" reminds me of Spyro, it's mainly the bass line, and the general up-beat of the song, and then it flows into an orchestral theme, and that part reminds me of the original Tomb Raider.

And when he says "The sky wore a veil or gold and grey" it feels like he's describing the sky in the world of Spyro, to me anyway. Probably just my nerdy side coming out, lol.

Actually Rebecca Kneubuhl could probably sing this song pretty well.

The ending of the track with the solo guitar joining in reminds me of Spyro as well.

Are we really going to bring band discussion into a Spyro thread? Saying X sucks isn't going to change anyone's mind, I could question all night the choices here but I'm not a jerk to go offtopic because differing opinions.

I don't really have any for Spyro but Rhapsody of Fire always sounded pretty good with Skylanders, though that should come with them sharing a genre. Heroic fantasy is always good when accompained by guitar and people describing heroic acts in the most over the top way possible.

Like I said, the only reason I associate those particular songs I picked with Spyro are because of fan videos, many of which were so jarring against the game footage that it was hysterical (or, in the one case, really unsettling and well done). The only major music I associate with Spyro are the direct scores from the games.

Radio Song by REM. Some of the progressions in it (I think the first bar or two after the chorus) just make me think of Stewart Copeland's compositions.

Most of the House of Synth and some Pirate Radio songs from Ratchet & Clank: A Crack in Time. Actually, you can add the original Ratchet & Clank too, because a lot of the songs have the same upbeat, percussion-heavy style as the Spyro tracks. <.<

Young Guns - Crystal Clear

I don't know how it fits, but Young Guns' music ain't that bad.

Stewart Copeland's songs in general remind me of the original Spyro games, specifically songs from his album The Equalizer and other cliffhangers.

A lot of sections in An American in Paris by Gershwin remind me of A Hero's Tail.

Machibuse by Rei Harakami. Unfortunately it's not on YouTube, but it's part of his final non-compilation/soundtrack album, "Wasuremono", released five years before his untimely, tragic death in 2011 at age 40. Really damn good track that reminds me of Lofty Castle especially.

The first thirty seconds of General Mumble's Maakit Stop remix reminds me of Classic Spyro's music. It just sounds sort of similar to the style of music in the original games to me.
