Just beat nightmare mode with my beloved S2 Spyro dealing the finishing blow, and I'm back at the academy and I got a a tricket, the raver hat and two level boosters (Snap Shot is now level 20!) but no Rainbow Hat... Is this a glitch or something?

Have you checked your hat list? The Rainbow Hat is given via notification not by a present.
