I know it has been mentioned on the sticky above but I thought a separate thread might be useful.

After much research on the subject I have come to the following conclusion:

If you have more than one account sharing a device each time you log into an account you must modify your privacy settings as soon as you logout it returns to default.

If your account is not logged in you cannot be found so if you have one account that needs friends keep it logged in.

Have you had any problems sharing multiple accounts on the same device? My son wants to, since he is playing on an old iPod that can't update to iOS7, so can't get trap team or any further updates. But I'm too worried about losing my island or having it become corrupted.

No problem at all sharing multiple games on same device for me. Simply log in/out, it goes right to activate when you log out so then enter other account
