CENTI DIDN'T FULLY RECOVER, WWWHHHHHYYYYYY!?!?!? This was such a depressing episode, I really thought he's gonna go inside her mind and heal her! And so the Diamonds released some shockwave that corrupted all the gems on earth. I really hoped that we'd at least find out her real name, but I'm sure we'll get to see her one day. Best episode from SOS so far.

Theory Time!

We now know that the Diamonds released a corruption wave to whipe out all of the Crystal Gems after (most) of their troops returned. So you could say it was immediately after the war ended. All of the corrupted gems caused chaos but weren't really out for killing anyone until they were actually attacked. In The Return, Greg said that Rose was only able to save her closest friends. So we can assume that she used either her shield or bubble to save Garnet, Pearl & Amethyst from being corrupted and she put Bismuth in Lions mane becuase her shield/bubble wasn't big enough for all of them. But wait... wasn't Amethyst discovered after the war? Or say, after the wave? Yes, I think she was and I think that's the reason why she's "defective" in the first place. Maybe the wave has a milder effect on gems that aren't "born" yet. Instead of corruption they just become smaller. But what about Lapis then? Well, Lapis was either protected by the mirror or by being in her gem form. Maybe gems that were alive before and are poofed don't get affected by it.

Well I watched it since I'd miss it later otherwise but it was nice. I liked it.
Malachite is now definitely supposed to represent an abusive relationship. Glad my child seems to be dealing with that. It's kinda funny how we see Jasper for the first time in a long while and Lapis knocks her back out to sea. Like, see you in another 20 episodes!

Also I dont know why but I kind of wanted it to end with them fusing and Malachite just leaving. And then just cliffhanger.

I'm officialy dead.

This episode was just.... I can't describe it. So Jaspis is (or was) kinda canon. I guess it wasn't really Stockholm Syndrom (even though Jasper liked being with "a monster" as she would put it) but more like that syndrome when you like being hurt. (forgot the name) I actually thought that they're gonna fuse again and it would be the Malachite arc all over again, but that would be kinda cheap.
Though now that I think about it, I guess Lapis just liked torturing Jasper and Jasper wanted to be powerful. Well, whatever. An amazing episode in my opinion and it handled a new kind of relationship, the abusive one, which is bad of course.
And Jasper's gone once again, fanboys are gonna cry.

What a nice episode! Of course I'm still shocked from yesterday's episode, but this one was more light-hearted and funny. I love the fact that baby Sour Cream literally has a Lenny face and already sounded like a teen back then. Vidalia and Greg were both perfectly relatable and Rose was an adorable dork as always. It once again had a nice message and it was nice seeing Rose again.

I got bad feelings about Bismuth. There seems to be emphasis on corrupted gems lately. What if Bismuth is actually a corrupted gem that Rose was experimenting to try to restore? And at the end of the episode Bismuth reverts to a monster?

^ While that does sound interesting, keep this in mind.

We haven't seen anything or really even know anything about Beta Part 1 (the episode that follows) I like the idea that Bismuth has some big secret and maybe that'll be explored through the 3-parter. Maybe Bismuth has nothing to do with going back to the moon for some reason and she's perfectly okay and just becomes a new addition to the cast. Maybe we'll finally see another change in the theme song? I can't see how they'd fit Bismuth in but who knows.

About Gem Hunt however, loved it as always. It's definitely the episode that has the least amount of action out of the whole week but still really cute. Pearl singing a line from Do It For Her made me melt. Also I think I speak for everyone when I say JASPER WHAT THE FRICK FRACK DIDDLY DACK ARE YOU UP TO????!!!!

Just saw Crack the whip.

THE FEELS! "Rose said I'm perfect just how I am." That line killed me. Amethyst is starting to feel weak and unneeded and I think that's gonna get worse in Bismuth. I have to get used to her outfit but it's a nice change. I'm glad that the story's focusing on Amethyst because she had the least episodes out of all the Crystal Gems.
As for Jasper, well we know that she wants to build an army of corrupted gems at her mercy and crack the rest of the Crystal Gems. I wonder how they'll mix in Lapis and Peridot in all of this. Oh the last week is gonna be exciting!

I hate Jasper so much right now. She's enslaving helpless corrupted gems, she hurt Amethyst, she split Garnet up and she abused Lapis. I'm sick of her fans always saying that Lapis is the bad guy, everything that Lapis did to Jasper was deserved and she should go through such a thing again only without hurting anyone else. The only gems she didn't hurt are Pearl & Peridot. PROTECT THE BIRD AND DORITO!

meh i dont really agree, jasper hadn't done as muchas she has now, sure after what shes done at this point yeah i do think a punishment is deserved but at that point she did corner lapis and such but lapis did admit what she did was wrong and that she enjoyed hurting jasper, during the time she could have easily told the crystal gems where she was so they could defeat and simply bubble jasper after she unfused. so in the malachite case, there really arent any blameless victims. like i love both jasper AND lapis (not that i dislike any characters on the show), but they both did bad things at that time to each other.

anyway im really happy were seeing more Jasper and getting around to more of Amethyst's character, also wondering how Lapis and Peridot will fit into this arc if they're in it at all? hmm


also that was aimed at someone making a bad joke :p

I'm not saying that Lapis is a total victim, she did abuse Jasper and it was bad, tho she doesn't want to hurt the Crystal Gems anymore and she's trying to change while Jasper just gets worse. I just think Jasper deserved it more than Lapis.

mm id like Jasper to change sides maybe not become a crystal gem but sort of her own side to it all, her becoming a crystal gem would certainly be interesting and I'm sure the writers would pull it off nicely. either way im fine since jasper is clearly going to be an interesting character depending on what happens.
