Wii U has like no 3rd party games. Indie is very weak compared to PSN/XBL.

Bayonetta 2 isn't developed by nintendo and it is really good, it was one of the highest scored games last year and a game of the year nominee.

Octodad is supposed to come out for it sometime this year as well. Some games like Resident Evil Revelations and Rayman Legends are also have the highest praise on their Wii U versions of the game compared to other systems.

It's pretty bloody so keep that in mind if you can't play these games, but Ninja Gaiden 3: Razor's Edge is pretty great and punishingly hard (I always preferred the difficulty and gameplay of Ninja Gaiden over Dark Souls). Fast paced action and a large variety of combos and weapons, like Bayonetta. And while people have complained a lot about Ninja Gaiden 3 when it first released, do know that Razor's Edge (the only version available for Wii U) fixes all of those problems and the game is much better off for it.

With that in mind, Bayonetta 2 is fantastic as well.
