Was planning to pick them up today after work, but checked Gamestop website and they say release date is now 4/15/15 instead of 4/10/15.

Anyone tried to pick them up today and were told the release date changed in-store?

Yes, we know these aren't selling well and are just piling up in stores. Yes, we know they are overpriced. Yes, we know they will eventually drop to $10-15 each.

I found out last night when picking up something else at GameStop that the date had changed. I was thinking that the original release was 4/10 and asked the clerk to make sure and was told that it had gotten bumped to 4/15 for reasons unknown. (shrug) They've got my reserve money, I'm guaranteed one of each character so I'm not really concerned. For anyone who might be freaking out because these got delayed a few days: BREATHE. They'll be here soon enough.

Because people other than yourself exist and like these figures, even if they aren't priced as economically as some of the others. Also because these two haven't yet been released and aren't common at all seeing as they haven't hit retail shelves anywhere yet. And if you think they're worthless? You obviously haven't played with any of them. But, to each their own.

Just cause they're worthless to you doesn't mean they are to others. They are indeed quite powerful, and to some that's worth the price of admission.

Just think, some pay 5+ for a pack of smokes to kill themselves everyday. Some buy booze to drink themselves silly, and some pay 150+ forms single chase variant Skylander that will most likely depreciate in value over time.

What something is worth is in the eye of the beholder. I personally can't wait to own baddies with an overpowered Gill Grunt down the Water Weaver path.

EDIT: oh and some flock to 13 dollar Amiibos. A Scalpers dream and toy that does next to nothing for the price of admission.

I so far have gotten each elite at $20 besides these 2. I find them as a nice display item, i feel they are worth $15 more so but I can deal with the extra $30 so far. I do wonder thou if this line has any chance of going past this.

Looks like they're delayed again... this time until the 24th. What a joke.

This might be the last time I preorder anything Skylander related from Gamestop.

Dang. I wonder if Activision/Gamestop have realized how badly the Eon's Elite are selling and are only going to make/order a limited number of Gill Grunt and Eruptor instead of the usual amount that ends up as overstock.

Maybe, if they have a clause in the contract that allows it. Maybe it's simply the port thing again.

Or maybe they're in the middle of some kind of disagreement about what to do with the huge amount of overstock before releasing the last figures.

What kind of obsession does Skylanders have with april 24th now?TT gets announced that day. This game is getting real close to doing the same. Return of the Dragon King Part 2 gets delayed for no explained reason to this day. Now Elites as well...?

Again Trap Team was announced on the 23rd. It's odd though to delay them to that specific date. Anyways my birthday is always a nice day to release things I guess.

My gamestop told me that they are marked as "in transit" to the store right now. They do not know when they will get here but they will call me as I was the only one to pre-order at there store and they are only getting 1 if each (so no extras this time).

Thanks darkrai, will call my store and find out what the story is. Maybe these will be shipped to stores for pre-orders and the rest will be online only.

Called my local Gamestop, the guy said their system didn't have any information about a release date or anything being in transit. He did say they are not reserveable in-store anymore but did see my reserve. I'll just wait for a call and check again on the 24th.

If you didn't pre order these do it now online.(no store pick up option). I was told stores will not receive extras this time!...

Oddly enough, I called my store yesterday to check on the status. I was told about the delay and I was also asked if I had pre-ordered as well, since they weren't expecting extras.

No extras, eh? Maybe they're saving their own money by not shipping them out to stores. In any event...it's clear something's changed this go round.

It's funny, I *almost* didn't bother to go in and pre-order. In fact, I didn't pre-order until about a week after they went up for pre-order, unlike the others that I pretty much pre-ordered on day-one. Glad I did decide to stop in and pre-order. ;)

Still going to wait for a fire sale...if I miss out, I miss out, but $25 is still too much for these guys. Maybe they're going the Amiibo way and trying to sell these through perceived rarity generated by not stocking these last 2 guys in stores.

It would be much easier to list it as out of stock for a few weeks and then get them back on a "restock".

Kind of like they do with the HTF Variant Bundle packs.

Until people take a step back and say "holy cr@p! $200 is a ton of money to reinvest in suped up versions of characters I can get in the bargain bin for $2 each!" Isn't playing with an Eon's Elite in hard mode like playing with it's regular series one counterpart in medium difficulty?

So nobody know why they keep delaying them.Its stupid how they keep delaying them I feel as if the people who pre ordered it so get a free skylander for have to sit in the dark about the last two elites release date back in February/March I thought they cancel them and now they delay them two times it's bull crap and everyone knows it

If I check store availability, there aren't any within 100 miles which I'm guessing means not in stores.

Just checked my store availability for both Eon's Elites. According to the availability, they are in stock 20-85 miles away from me in two Gamestop stores. :L

Got mine today. I never got a call to pick them up but when In checked store availability, it said they were in. I sent my husband over to grab them. He said they had 3 of each out.

The coupon code SAVER while checking out at GameStop.com does still give the option of FREE value shipping on orders of $24.99 or more (which is normally $3.50 for a single Eon's Elite figure).

These figures appear to be readily available now. So, how long before the price drops?

They're popping up in Southern California as of this morning but not at either of my two local stores yet.

The lowest these have been (in the US) is $19.99. My guess is they probably won't drop to the $9.99-14.99 price range, which is what most are waiting for, until Skylanders 5 releases or just before that. Although Canada had them on sale for as low as $9.99 a little while ago so who knows.

Got Eruptor and Gill Grunt this morning in California - near SFBA.

When are these things showing up on their web site? I didn't preorder this.

They've been up on the GameStop website for quite a while now. They were available to straight out purchase and shpi as of 4/16, before people who had preordered them in store had the chance to get theirs. I put the links below if you can't find them otherwise.
