Following off somePersons idea, maybe instead of just rank badges, we could get badges for doing things throughout the site. The Rank Badges (somePersons idea) will appear under your avatar when you comment and the other ones could a appear in your guestbook.

You could get badges for doing stuff such as:

Getting a topic stickied
Becoming a Hunter (you keep it if you resigned)
And other stuff

I thought about this too. I've also seen it on other forums. It's a good idea.

Also like badges if you've been on this forum passed a year, 2 years, 3 years, ect. But maybe go up by a few years so it doesn't look like to much.

They do this to an extent on Smashboards and even give you a certain amount of "Trophy Points" for whatever number of points the badge you just earned gives you.

I support this idea.

Every badge is essentially "that type of badge". Glorified achievements for not really doing anything.

I've seen trophies like this work elsewhere but they should really only be given out for major things.
