I went to TRU today for that sale they had and to my surprise there was a clear thunderbolt. I instantly bought him. This is my first chase collectable and i bought him almost in a rush and i have a few questions.

1. Did i make the right call buying him? Are these clear variants that rare?
2. I shouldnt open him right? I do want to use him in the game ( i dont have regular thunderbolt) but i dont want to hurt the collection value of it.
3. Anyone know a good site or app to post pictures to the internet so i can take a picture of him for you guys?

1.) They're pretty rare. The determination if you made the "right call" buying him is 100% yours. I would grab him if I saw him though.

2.) Again, your decision. Opening him will hurt the resale value, but if you don't intend to resell him, that wouldn't matter much. If you do hope to resell him down the road, I would not open him. "Collection" value? Well, your collection is only as good as you think it is. I've seen impressive open and packaged collections. Your decision to make.

3.) No pic is necessary, as several others have already posted pics of this one. If you really want to post another pic, you might use Imgur.com

1. yes, of course.
2. up to you. Resale of open chase figures gets impacted, choose what's important to you. DO keep card and sticker though if you do open.

tsk tsk tsk tsk . Are you really prepared to sit on it for 30 years until its value increases ? Open and play with your toy or buy yourself another one .

Oh i can help . Post Image .org is your best friend if you want to upload and hotlink . I use it all the time .

thanks for the input. im going to leave him in the box. ill still be able to use him to play the game even in the box. As for collection value ill probably never sell him so thats no issue to me, i just think its more valuable to me still in the box.

Leaving him in the box whether you plan to sell or not is still good practice. From what I've dealt with collecting things over the years is if you have a family emergency or something comes up you have a small but easy way to make some good money fast and at least that's a possibility :3
