No woman or common man stronger then the pirate captain. Hearts wrapped in sea weed and blood loaded with salt water, the pirates captains ruled the waters with an iron fist. BLAH BLAH BLAH!

"Boring! Who gives a darn care about thee old scallywags who claim they be the kings of the sea. Well acording to thee wonderful home land, a Queen be the true ruler. So i tell ye join me crew and ill show you the seas like you have never seen."

Many Pirates rise and then sink because of the dangers of the waters and no other crew is ally but yer own.

Personality: Stubborn and Independent, BJ's only ever wanted a family and somewhere to call home. He's had to survive on his own since a young age, but rather than make him hard and cruel, living alone on the streets only made him kinder. He has a heart for people, but a terrible, unquenchable rage against injustice. Not one to rush into anything, he'll stick to the background and watch, forming strategies and observing to gain the upper ground in any situation.
Back story: BJ was raised by loving parents, who taught him to love the world and everyone and everything in it. He lost his parents when he was eight years old, only to be taken in by his parent's drunken landlord, who quickly turned him into a slave laborer at his tavern, telling him his parents owed him a great deal of money and the only way to repay it was for BJ to go into service for him. Knowing no better, BJ agreed, not knowing the cruel oppression that wold follow. Once he was 15, BJ realized he had no requirement to stay on with the man, so quickly bid him farewell, standing his ground defiantly, and leaving without ever looking back. Without a place to stay, BJ stuck to to the streets, and found it almost to be as bad as his service to the landlord. But at least he had his freedom. When he was 18, a nice man found him and took him in. Refusing to stay for free, BJ worked for the man as an assistant in his shop, making maps. Soon, the two had formed a close bond, and BJ finally felt he had a real father again. He became an apprentice to the man and went with him on many adventures charting the land and seas together. BJ was almost becoming as a good a cartographer as his master. Just recently, BJ awoke to the sound of a trespasser in the shop above which he and his master stayed. Going to investigate, he arrived in time to see a band of pirates kill his master. Horrified, he let out a shout, grabbing his master's sword from its place on the wall, and charged at the murderous pirates. They were out the door before he could reach them, but BJ didn't care. In agony, he dropped to his knees beside his master and wept as the man took his dying breath to tell BJ to keep his most treasured possession, the sword, and to take over his shop. BJ tried to argue that the man would be fine, but in his heart, he knew his words meant nothing, so he finally agreed to the man's requests. With that, squeezing each others' hands tightly, a promise made, the man died, his hand falling limply away from BJ's. BJ spent that night weeping over his 'father's' body. He mourned with the man's wife and daughter for a long while after that, but in his mourning, a deep anger also began to burn up within him. He took inventory on the shop he now owned, trying to determine what the pirates had been after. He only ever found one thing missing - a map. Knowing it was important enough to kill a man over, and not risk getting involved in a fight with another, BJ decided that the map they were after must have been one of a place where they knew they'd find treasure. They'd killed his master over money.
Appearance: BJ is average height for his age, has dirty brown hair that reaches just below his shoulders. He always wears it tied back loosely behind his neck. He has dark, piercing eyes, tanned skin, and wears a white long-sleeved shirt under a tan tunic, as well as brown trousers and boots. He always carries with him a brown satchel with his cartography supplies, as he never knows when he'll need them.

Personality: Patrick is a playful social person who even in the face of danger or is on the brim of his life is always a optimist, but otherwise he usually does as he says, & stays to working hard, but in he end usually stays to himself.
Back story: Patrick was a boy on a fishers ship, playing & sword fighting with his brother one day pirates attacked, they killed everyone on board including his mother & brother but not his father, from there on out, his father taught him the life of a pirate that he left behind when he married his mother, teaching him sword fighting, bartering, & thievery he also attempted to corrupt Patrick by teaching him how to be sexist,evil,racist & so on, & from all that Patrick instead learned to be good, til one day he left his father & has never seen him since.
Appearance: 6'4, Black hair,Brown Eyes,scars on the top of his head,head is shaved, but has a normal short beard hanging, big but well thin. Wears a brown leather jacket with a white ragged shirt underneath, & ragged pants with light leather boots.
Weapon of Choice: Any, but in the end truly prefers hand to hand combat
Extra: Shaves his head whenever he can which he usually cuts up a lot, leaving scars on it.

The skies and seas finally cleared as the port came into sight. The young Pirate captain smiled. "Captain Jones! Land Ho!" Yelled one of the still lingering crew members. "Aye! Pull her close we see what we can find. "Lower the black flag!... we cant have anyone thinking we are pirates now.." She said. The young captain Cassandra Jones adjusted her hat and looked out towards the port. I hope ill find some tough lads to help me with the ship... She thought. "Hurry! We must leave docks before low tide!" She told her crew. It was becoming high tide now and would only have four hours before low tide.

Sitting on a stool in a bar near the docks, Patrick slowly drank up a drink, waiting for something interesting. If there was nothing interesting, it would be another night doing a easy job cleaning the bar.

OOC: Just saying i'm gonna edit my character description to include clothes so...

I was sitting on the docks "Lost another job... I need to stop trying to improve things so much..." I thought as I saw a ship pulling in "Maybe I can get a job on that ship"

The ship pulled into dock. "Drop anchor!" She yelled out to the crew and shortly after the large decorated anchor dropped into the water. "Alright lads. Enjoy the bar. Drink to your content. Maybe get some rum for the stocks. Be back before dusk!" She commanded and then used a free rope and swung off this ship and landed on the dock her gold pistol on her hip. She looked around and adjusted her hat. She walked up the docks towards the town and looked around. What a dull place.. She thought.

I ran up to Captain Jones "Hello Ma'am, my name is Austin, are there any openings aboard your vessel?" I asked before taking Captain Jones's hand and kissing it in a polite way, I certainly didn't want to seem rude

Cassandra backed up a bit. "Aye there is.." She said pulling her hand from him. "Watch yerself laddy. I dont take kindly to land folk who think their fit fer sea."

"Sorry, I was just being polite, I've always dreamed of being a part of a crew, can I join yours?" I asked "I could be a great help"

"I see. Well if yer interested in joining me crew ill be in the pub till before dusk. Find me there." She said turning and walking down the docks to the pub walking in to find her few ship mates sitting at the biggest table. They all looked up at the door and cheered motioning for her to come over. "I see ye are all enjoying yerselves. Who got a pint of rum fer me eh?" She asked. Her uncle walked over and handed her a mug. "Here you are lassy. Yer father would be proud." He said in his gruff voice.

"Thanks unlce." She said and took a drink and then sat at the head of the table putting her feet up. "Hopefully there will be some bodies who will find fit to join the crew." She said enjoying her rum.

Patrick listened to whatever he could hear in the pub, so hearing Cassandra talking about seeking people for a crew, he looked over at their table, then finished his drink & walked over, Standing before her he asked "I hear you are looking for able bodies?"

Cassandra looked at him with her one eye and smiled slightly. "Aye. Ye think yer fit to be crew to my fathers ship?" She asked.

"I'm only as fit as i am judged to be ma'am" he replied staring into her one open eye.

I walked into the pub and got some water, then I pulled up a chair next to Cassandra "I know I am, but I never even got your name, what is it?" I asked

"I see. Well what be yer name?" Cassandra asked looking back to her rum and taking a drink. Her remaining crew looked at Austin who sat down with them and Cassandra looked at him. She sighed and set down her cup and stood. "I be Cassandra Marrie Jones. Daughter of Davy Jones, captain of the Flying Dutchman. Ye still feel ready to join me crew lad?" She asked.

"Patrick, Patrick Deringer" he replied looking over at Austin & nodding to him.

"Sure! That sounds great Captain!" I said before looking at Patrick "Nice to meet you, I'm Austin"

"I would introduce myself but i already did, pleasure" Patrick replied.

Cassandra shrugged. "What ever. Meet at the ship before dusk or we leave ye behind." She said and walked out. She looked around and spotted a man hit a girl with a book and she growled. She hated men like that. She walked over to the girl ad snagged the broom. "Wait here." She said and walked into the store. There was a bit of yelling and then a girlish squeal and then Cassandra reammerged. "He wont hurt ye anymore lass. Ever wanted to leave this place?" She asked.

OOC: Sorry bout dat!

Patrick watched all this go down, thinking optimistically he said "This is going to be fun" getting up, he walked slowly over to the convenience store past Cassandra & Caelee, & to the shop owner, & listed off supplys, "I'm gonna need some bread, bandages if ya have them, & a bottle of rum if ya have it"

"Not if you join me on me ship over there. It gets lonely without another lass on board. Tis all men and gets rather boring with out a person to understand. Ye know what i mean?" Cassandra said. "Oh.. And if ye decide to stay. I'd burn the broom first... Ye wont want to be touching that after he pulls it out his bum." She said laughing.

I walked outside and went over to the ship to get a good look at it "Nice construction, solid wood, not signs of rot, its perfect for sailing" I said as I looked it over

Patrick walked back out of the store carrying the items in a bag that he also purchased, he too walked up to the boat & got a good look at it.

"As long as ye want." Cassandra said to her.

I continued to look at the ship while I waited to begin my new journey with Cassandra and Patrick

"Yes and Yes. So are ye in er not lass i havent got all day..."

Patrick walked up next to Austin & asked "So, what do you think of the captain?"

"Meet ye at the ship lassy." Cassandra said and waved walking back towards the ship. Her crew was loading up previsions for the store room sense food supply was running a bit low. "Careful with the rum!" She ordered and the crew continued loading the ship with supplies.

OOC: Thank you! Lately, I've fallen in love with creating backstories.

"I've gotta go down town for a few supplies. Keep an eye on things while I'm gone. I shouldn't be too long!" BJ called back to his adopted sister before closing the door behind him. As he did so, he looked at a door, caressing the hard wood. Taking a step back, he glanced up at the shop he now owned, still trying to wrap his mind around that fact. Sighing as he read the sign that blew in the breeze, his gut tightened, just as it always did when he thought of his beloved mentor, a man who had been like a father to him. Turning away lest the threatening tears come, he looked down the street. Gulls called on the breeze as waves crashed against the docks. Taking a breath of the salty air, BJ turned and headed down the street.

He'd almost reached his destination when he saw a large ship anchored at the docks. It didn't have it's colors flying, but it didn't need to. BJ knew that it was a pirate ship. He watched the crew loading the supplies onto it, and anger burned within him. There was nothing he hated more than pirates.

"She's nice, better than some of the other bosses I've had, and to be honest, she's pretty cute" I said as I watched the ship being loaded
