Why do you need to write something after spoilering something, posting a picture, or posting a video? I am tired of putting the little "------" at the end of everything. Why is this like this?

Take note that is a character limit on everything, but pms.

I think it's to prevent spam. Also sometimes explaining the spoiler and etc, is a reason too. Like a trigger warning and such.
