It looks and sounds like a great cause with their pink ribbons and shirts but in reality the charity is just another multimillion dollar company. Alright first of all the CEO of the company Hala G. Moddelmog once made over five hundred thounsand dollars a year which more than what the president of the U.S makes. Another problem that they have is that employees take up eleven percent of the companies annual fees which is usually over 300 million dollars a year. And while we're on the talk about money not being used for the cure let's add that only 20.9% of the money is donated to be use in research which seems a little off too me. But don't worry we use 13% health screenings and 5% on treatment and 10% goes to fundraising. Unfortunately the biggest percentage used goes to public health education trying to give the media and public awareness to breast cancer (which is already well known) with pink shirts, pink stage shows, pink cupcakes, pink alcohol, and pink fried chicken buckets that can actually cause breast cancer itself. And you know what this means? More money for the company that will be used for many more events in the future. But quite honestly the worse part about the company is that they actually spend millions of dollars a year to sue other organizations that have the word "cure" in them. Talk about getting your priorities straight. But in the end do we really need awareness for finding the cure of breast cancer when it already exists that is usually successful everyday? You don't hear about this from them because their foundation would be completely useless. Suzy B. Komen is just looking for money not the cure.
