This is a topic into what I can post some of my better thoughts. I have always wondered about life and since my own personal journey in the world of existential crisis, I have thought about meanings and basic reasons and whatnot about this whole thing. So maybe I could now say something useful or utterly ridiculous nonsense.

Is this life all there is? I do not know. But considering that the life as we know it is based on our own definitions about things that are, was and are to be, I think that thinking with the philosophy that this is all there is, is not the most welcomed one. Of course the life we go through right now is the one we give credit, meaning and value to because our concrete essences react towards this reality. Eventually who is to say that the things that we consider lifeless do not have lives of their own? It is all dependent on concept of point of view.

Eventually maybe the only thing that is perpetual is existence. Existence is always there even in “nothing scenario”. If nothing exists there is still the existence of non-existent. The great unknown i.e. the afterlife or the things we go after our earthly demise is a thing that we are drawn to fantasize and ponder about. Eventually it is hard to say what is alive and what is not since the concept of living as we know it is probably also vulnerable to change due to the new ways of thinking etc.

In more practical level, I can say that in terms of singular human life, this is actually quite all there is to it in terms of being our current selves. I exist now but after my death and decomposing of my body, there is no way this life I lived will be remembered by me. After becoming one with the Earth again my remains will end up being part of cycle of life and maybe someday parts of my existence will become a part of another life form’s existence as we know it. And some day our planet will become one with the universe again and what will the universe become is still out of our 100 % certain knowledge. Eventually the principle of alpha having its omega is not carved undisputedly in stone.

The existence I’m going through right know is actually pleasing. I do things that make me feel content and I have people in my life that seem to have at least some level of caring for me and I give them the same amount of care back. I am trying on every-day basis not to be bothered about concepts of meaning, purpose and making a difference but I try to enjoy this life since it is on practical microcosmic level such a treat to have. Life and existence are mysteries. Random, rational or something we still not yet fully understand. So instead of wallowing in a world of confusion and depressing misery, why not just enjoy the ride once one has given the chance?

In all seriousness, though, yesterday I was cleaning my room, and then for a second I just stood there, wondering what was happening. I probably thought on life for about 3 minutes or so before I realized my limbs were going numb and I was shaking suddenly just thinking about what was happening, who I was as a person, what life was, if it was just a paradox or a dream, and then I cleaned my entire room.

God, that scared me for a second.
