Permanent Superflame - Is it really a breeze? [CLOSED]

Is playing a new game with the Permanent Superflame Powerup easier all the way through? There are many more easier parts than harder parts in the game with this, I know. But there are still harder parts. Here's an example of each:

Easy - A very hard Supercharge Challenge indeed in Fracture Hills comes from a whole load of charging from beginning to end of the level to just the tap of a button.

Hard - I lost for the first time ever 1 v 1 Hockey in Colossus!

Make your points in this topic, and generally discuss the game's finale reward here.

I think it would have been cooler if Spyro had been given a permanent flying ability instead.

Too bad the programmers were too lazy to add invisible walls to the game, so permanent flying would result in you flying over the games' barriers and into the abyss.

Well, if they'd programmed permanent flying in, then they'd have put the invisible walls in so that you wouldn't do that when you got the flying.

I'd love permanent flying! I agree with SequoiaDragon.... But still, I didn't really like the permanent superflame, because I really miss the standard flame breath.....

Permanent flying may have been too hard to programme in normal levels for the PlayStation games, and probably would have caused problems. But on a more modern console such as the PlayStation 3, it would be easily programmable.

There is another powerup. The 'Supertoxic' you get from three green orbs in Ripto's Arena.

I can't remember when I started a new game with the Super Flame, but the game is still hard in places, whether you have thr Super Flame or not.

To start a new game with Superflame, load your file, make sure you have the Superflame with you, save your game manually, then quit game and DO NOT TURN OFF YOUR CONSOLE. Now overwrite your 100% file and you should start with Superflame, no orbs, no gems, no skill points and no talismen.

You don't have to overwrite the 100% file. You can load the game, then quit and just start a fresh file and it'll work as well.

But just think about Gnasty's Loot in STD. It had unlimited Superfly and it was perfectly glitchless.

Nearly glitchless. You could, very difficulty, get out of the level. Also, you can permanently fly all the way through StD using a gameshark cheat.

But with superflame... if you try to flame him from far it's difficult (to me) hit him
