I think eventually some troll will come in and ruin the site for everyone.

Idk I keep leaving for a while so I don't know what would make me leave forever. Probably someone being really really rude to me or my friends.

To be honest I think it will go on for as long as there are Skylanders and possibly a return for Spyro, then maybe 2-3 years after the last game was made and yet to be another and then it will just.....stop...?

I would never leave the site indefinitely, I love you guys. Most, anyway.

I do think the sight will remain here for quite some time. Spyro is a favorite game to many and the Skylanders are gonna keep growing in popularity. Maybe 5-10 years? I just don't know.

If my closest friends would leave I would leave as well.

I expect it to keep trucking for a few more years; at least as long as the Skylanders franchise continues. Once Skylanders inevitably ends in the form of a "toys to life" market crash from oversaturation (a la Guitar Hero), it'll probably hang around for a couple more years until most people primarily interested in Skylanders fade away and all that's left are people who stuck around because of friends.

Basically the same thing that happened a few years ago when Spyro hadn't been seen since DotD, except there will probably be nothing left to bring back activity like Skylanders did. Dark probably won't ever shut the forum down unless it's more expensive to maintain than we realize and it drains more out of his finances than it's worth. But his interest in updating and maintaining it will be severely lowered and it'll probably be up to users and any remaining mods to govern themselves for the most part.

Spyro could be rebooted back to his old roots, yes, but I think by the time that happens the site will already be gone or too inactive to save.

The only thing I can see that would drive me away from the site this time is some traumatic thing happening between myself and people I associate with the site. I would probably want to distance myself from the site as much as possible if that happened. Otherwise I have no reason to leave and as of now I even have an obligation to stay.

All of S&N goes nuclear and breaks every rule, and while I'm constantly trying to warn people to cut the **** I engage in very heated debates with UncleBob, Morris, and Reshiram about ethics, politics, and why the Vita doesn't suck respectively.

Someone will hack it, everything will get deleted, and Dark will call it a day.

Hopefully i won't be around on that day, but if i am, i'll bring the life raft.

1. Well I've actually thought about this a couple of times. I'm imaging a truckload of Skyros. It's the only thing coming to mind.. Although, I'm hoping to see the original fan base still involving, but I doubt it. The Skylander board will be filled with new users, and (likely) flaming. I cannot see it turning out any other way, sadly. A **** load of riptos and trolling from new users. And the younger this generation is using technology, the younger the users on this site. Next thing you know a 5 year old is on the site. Seriously, not a good view.

2. Lots of stuff. But mainly seeing all my old friends leaving. It would make me feel outcasted from the newer range of users, knowing me, I'm not that type of person to 'go up to some random person' and be like "what's up?". Most of my friends from back 2012 and even earlier have left, for good and I don't know how I've coped.

3. I can't seem to think about anything at the moment. Probably in the future, seeing a whole, **** load of newbies breaking the rules, or trolling users. Maybe even a debate, argument. Or another saga of the gnarly incident.

Sometimes I tend to wonder what the future will be like here in dS. What am I expecting? I must say that the thing I am slightly even looking forwards to is the moment when Skylanders loses its momentum and how the user base will be affected by it etc. this momentum-fanbase-dS correlation will most certainly be interesting phenomenon to witness and see how the people will deal with it.

I honestly think that as long as our administrator has even the smallest motivation to maintain this website this place will become place where people are not that into in the main attractions that brought them here in the first place. It will become place where people just discuss about all the other common interests etc. At least this is one of the most probable scenarios in my mind.

I think that the only scenarios which will make me leave this site is profound personal issues or my personality developing even more into a guy who is indifferent to various subjects in life. If I would suddenly lose interest to this site and could not find that temporary momentarily mattering meaning from this, I’d leave. But as long as I can affect to that, I would never leave this place without informing the community at first.

The only thing that would probably reignite the flame of posting actively here is the highly unlikely scenario of new Spyro game to be released. I must admit that in that situation I would regress mentally to blind fanboy state of mind and post highly stupid and speculative messages about it until my fingers will go numb.

Of course now as I write this thing, I noticed that one thing would also hypothetically increase my post count. And that would be increasing amount of quite interesting topics. Of course I could make a difference in that department by starting to make them but since I am totally unable to initiate a good quality conversation about any matter, I leave creating the topics to the professionals. And of course eventually all the good points in those topics are probably already stated so there is no purpose to participate if one cannot give it a new approach. So there you are.

It will be sided by some overprotective parent who sees what their child looks at on the site.

Yes. Once Skylanders loses traction, this site will go down in a ball of flames and end up in a library of forgotten websites.
