Already posted this elsewhere, but no harm asking for more opinions. I collect a second set of the Skylanders which can't swap paths, in order to have both available and ready- up to TT (when I stopped collecting every variant), that includes dupes of LightCores and ingame variants in addition to the regulars, anything that can't swap paths- but I really wonder wether I want them any more.
I don't like seeing duplicates of the exact same toys on my shelves, which clashes with lore and looks boring. I almost never want to play different paths on any characters, because usually I prefer one heavily and my preferences barely change between games- plus, resetting and maxing different paths once in a while sounds fun (and there's always Skylanders Editor). Also, I just don't play the games much now. So I'm thinking of selling off my second set and not buying any more dupes. They waste a lot of space and money.
Here's the list of pre-TT Skylanders (because I barely know anything about TT's paths) which don't have some repose or variant to keep the second path ready. Ones I bolded are the ones that'd bother me most and I italicised those where I dislike using the Skylander or one of their paths.
Ghost Roaster, Dino-Rang, Sunburn, Voodood, Boomer, Swarm, Eye-Brawl (though he doesn't count since I have the Halloween variant), Fright Rider, Thumpback, Boom Jet, Pop Thorn, Scratch, Stink Bomb, Grilla Drilla, Roller Brawl, Rubble Rouser, Doom Stone, Scorp (but I also have the green variant anyway), Rip Tide, Punk Shock, Trap Shadow, Dune Bug, Spy Rise and Wind-Up.
What do you think? Worth it? I could just get dupes of certain characters, but the inconsistency would drive me crazy.
