Most likely survival horror games because of Let's Play-ers like PewDiePie and Markiplier. Minecraft counts as well 'cus that's what kids are into. The only games my 6-year-old cousin knows about are Mario and Minecraft. Maybe Call of Duty counts as well.

I only wonder for the popularity of other genres like platformers, (post-16-bit) JRPGs, spectacle fighters and fighting games. I know there's channels that may cover specific genres but maybe they're not enough.

What's your opinion?

FPSs period. It doesn't matter if they're classified as Stealth, survival horror, or whatever, if it's a shooter, then make way for hundreds of Let's Plays for the most overrated video game genre that needs to die already so there can be more diversity in video games.

I think everything related to Creepypastas and/or creepy stuff. You can see a lot of fanmade games on internet about this and it's not a bad start on YouTube, this kind of games are popular thanks to some massive Youtubers, but specially I don't like their let's plays at all (I hate PewDiePie and Markiplier, thwey over-react a lot)

Also any kind of FPS >.<

Minecraft is just absolutely everywhere. As well as those Minecraft animation that have the most disgusting thumbnails. So that.

As for genre, FPS seems to be what I see the most. As well as survival horror when a new jump scare game comes out.

Basically any FPS.


Pokemon, JRPGs, and Fighting games also have huge followings on YouTube.
