dS for Mobile Viewing [CLOSED]

This site has been around for like 10+ years. We're in 2015 now. We don't have the time to sit on our computers to browse these sites anymore.

Dark, please make a mobile-friendly version of your website. Tapatalk compatible or just easy to use on mobile phones, I dunno. In its current state, dS is not mobile friendly and its data intensive, making it a poor option for browsing.

That's a thing. Lost count of how many times it caused mobile Firefox to crash because I opened topic page too many.

The website is pretty easy to work with on the ipads, though I can't say about phones since I do not own one.

It gets really laggy. Although technically, I don't have a phone, either. This is an iPod touch.

It's really annoying trying to navigate through here on a phone

I think this issue has been asked about before but I guess nothing's been done about it

Anything that makes the site easier for folks to navigate and brings more people into the fold is great.

I've never actually used it on the phone, so I don't know. But the iPad is pretty good IMO.

When i'm out I sometimes post or browse using an iphone 5C and it runs pretty smoothly, I don't experience any lag. However, it could be older mobile devices that experience the lag as it can't handle it.

The site layout doesn't lend itself very well to mobile viewing in it's current state imo, I think that an app made for Darkspyro would be great.

This idea's been tossed around since before I joined and nothing's ever happened about it, so I wouldn't expect anything to happen.

Yeah the mobile site is terrible

Maybe something with setting/navigation bars at the top and/or bottom constantly could work

No it hasn't. As far as I'm aware, Dark just questioned what was hard about using the site on mobile. Also mentioned that he was going to look into it. But that was like, what? 2 years ago? I don't remember. Long ass time ago, that's when. I haven't seen him denied it. Just not address it since that time.

I fully support this. I can't even post on this site on Firefox on Android Lollipop 5.0.1

It literally lags and sometimes crashes. Same for Chrome. What gives?

I use mobile and it's all right.
Then again I have java, flash, and images all off to reduce the lag from those ads.
With java off it makes it a pain to view spoilers as they require Java to open, that's really the only downside.

btw I use Dolphin browser for this site and a few other image heavy sites, it cuts back on lag and data usage for loading so much.

though I totally support a more mobile friendly site because turning images off constantly sorta sucks.

Since Lollipop, the site has had zero lag for me. But the UI is still clunky.
