Story: Major Dyzaster has formed a Tournament of portal masters and he has challenged you to participate, but you swiftly discover that there is more going on then just fighting he is slowly zombie-fying the other portal masters so it is up to you and your skylanders to defeat him

Many heroes gathered to his castle hoping to be chosen to participate each mastering their own unique element, but since none of them were portal masters Major Dyzaster turned them into pawns for the participants (Skylanders)

The Gimmick:
So each element now has two sub-elements with one newlander each e.g. Air has Force and Speed and now you can digitaly design your own portal master and go head to head with other players world-wide

Magic:
Psyko: "You're mind!" Stange, trench-coated figure
he can read minds and has telekinesis (Mind)

Dudeler: "Draw close" Roller-blading spray paint artist
whose art comes to life (Art)

Tech:
Clockwork: "Spoiler alert!" Robed hero with mega buster-esque gun
he can slow down and speed up time (Time)

Agent 9: "Reporting for duty!" Exactly like classic design
he can turn invisible and sharpshoot (Stealth)

Water:
Frostbite:"There's a chill in the air" Saber-tooth tiger with ice claws
he can freeze objects and slash with frozen claws (Ice)

Glooper: "Time to Slime!" Pile of sentient slime
it can slime enemies and make mini versions of himself (Acid)

Undead
Frankenscream: "Monster see, Monster smash!" Frankenstein-like mosnter
he can deafen enemies by screeching (Monster)

Scarecrow: "Scared Yet?" Raven kind of Sky baron
she can shoot feathers and scare enemies (Fear)

Air:
Nitros: "You're too slow" Elf wearing blue tracksuit
he can run circles around enemies (Speed)

Jedos: "You don't know the power!" Strange black-robed hero
he can control gravity and "push" objects (Force)

Earth:
Metalak: "Still got the steel" Metal turtle-like creature
he can cover enemies in metal and cause earthquakes (Metal)

Diamented: "SHINY!!!" Looks like a bit like Prism break
he can shoot diamonds from his crystal gun (Crystal)

Life:
Hunter: "The hunt is on!" Tlos design
uses his bow and poison can track enemies (Animal)

Crash Bandicoot: "Spin for the win!" Classic design
moves from original game (Strength)

Fire:
Ragek: "Don't get in my way!" Pale-grey dragon always looks angry
he can breathe black fire (Fury)

Mistifier: "From the ashes!" Being made of smoke
she can blind enemies and make clouds of smoke (Smoke)

Light
Copycat: "Can I borrow that?" Dragon-size black and white cat
he can copy moves of other skylanders exactly (Copy)

NRG: "Power, Power, I got the power!" Large creature made of electricity
it can power up and get more powerful or shock enemies with built up power (Energy)

Dark:
Wormhole: "Into the stars!" Worm with arms and tribal get-up
he can make black holes and can whip enemies with his tail (Space)

Guitarist: "Beat by the beat" Punk rock-star Elf
he can throw his guitar like a boomerang and sream into a microphone (Sound)

These guys would be sold separate and in elemental two-packs
also there are a few new trappable villains and remodels

So maybe I missed something in all that but:
"How do S2 villains work? Specail traps? Villain figures?

Sounds like an AWESOME idea! I think that dual element Skylanders are the next big step for the series and this might be a great way to introduce the concept.
