Sitting at 108,278 (down a little bit from my max.) Would be nice to have some new community buildings for my 48,559 unemployed Mabu to work in.

I have 112,814 and 49,426 UNEMPLOYED

I have 2 boat houses, 4 wood stack houses and 24 B&Bs

And I just sold 2 wood stack houses (to make room for a new magic shrine from LPPF) plus added 5 snack stands for the the Love Potion Pop Fizz mission

I'm still shifting over to the top end housing, so I have a bunch of non-optimal houses still floating around. 27,860 present, 1,727 sitting idle. Mainly hoping to win a bunch of bed and breakfasts in the well next time we have an alter ego weekend. I occasionally get off my butt and buy a wood stack house when my gold tops about 80million. L40 kingdom, need to get a stage, only gem buildings I have are ones I won.

I started winning lots of B&Bs after level 40, I'm sure, but couldn't tell you when I stopped "needing" them to have plenty of people.
But we kept outposts and strongholds for a long time--even though they took lots of room

At level 40--It would also be a smart idea to start deleting(inventorying) any community building you have more than 1-2 of. Chances are that they offer very little XP compared to the later buildings.

but I do know that after we built them and got their quests, DH stashed the circus and Park to have enough Mabu for the stage. And just moved my people around until the XP seemed to be maxxed out for the level of playing we do.

And then, of course, after level 45, there was no need to have more than 1 of each building for decoration. You get the level 45 prizes (gems and wish stones) when you fill the meter again. so don't just cut everything back

I still have some older "Thematic" housing but i fear it may eventually be converted over to make room for more skylander houses, shrines, et cetera.

I had such nice themed islands when it was early on, but as I tell my kids, anything can be converted to math and had the joy sucked out of it Efficiency!

Kay my new current population is 78 775 ....something . All employed once again .

I'm jealous. My unemployed population comes in at 102.

I found it took about three weeks or a bit less. About what it took to get from 44 to 45. And now with companion Fiznik, who knows?

That's the thing, it is pointless to go to lengths just to roll overflow 45 experience. Even with Rufus and Fizznik, it still takes a couple of weeks minimum to level again, all for 15 gems. 15 gems is chump change once you reach that point, I'm probably 100-150 gems a day on average, more than that if I have quests going or get big payout from Diggs or get really lucky on the house payouts.

Ahh for the good ol days when i was level nothing and 15 gems was a fortune of emeralds .

And those good old days when I was a level 17 and 100,000 coins was like a treasure trove. Now, after a few lucky Wishing Well spins(Chompy gift shops and a tavern) plus some companions(Hyde, Spyro's #1 Fan and Chieftess) I'm finally feeling like I'm not jealous anymore.
