With Target closing in Canada that leaves Nitro Head Rush unavailable for us Canadian collectors (outside of internet purchasing at marked up prices). I read that the Target exclusive Amiibo Rosalina/luma will be found in small amounts at other Canadian retailers ie; Bestbuy Walmart etc.

Does anyone know if the Nitro series will be handled by other companies in Canada, similar to Big W and other retailers overseas?

How were Target's exclusives for Spyro's Adventure (really early Whirlwind) and Giants (Granite Crusher) handled? Target didn't have much of a presence in Canada at that time (heck, they never really did), so my initial thought is that the Nitro series might be handled the same way. But that's just a guess.

Interesting. Wonder if they'll still ship with the "Only At Target" icon on them or not.

Interesting, but still partly conjecture. I didn't know Microplay was still around - the one in my area closed years ago.

UncleBob, there was no retail alternative for Canadian fans pre-Target. Whirlwind arrived in a later wave, and we simply missed Granite Crusher (though some stores got him in well after all the Giants figures were out, and it was the european version with the different hook). Zellers, which occupied the locations before Target, isn't in any position to make a comeback.

I hope Activision makes a point to find a home for all the would-have-been Target exclusives, or just divvy them up between stores like the article suggests. Just put a sticker over the 'only at Target' badge.
