That's some GREAT news!

Don't know if it will be definitive, but at least we have an actual idea.

The average Gamestop employee is typically only topped in unreliability on Skylanders by a Walmart employee. However, their Europe marketing does seem to be a bit more predictable than in the US so it isn't impossible Gamestop sent out a date to their stores in Italy.

With our luck, TRU might do an early release, like Waves 2 & 3.

As hyped as I am for wave 4, I just want Activision to release Bat Spin and the wave 3 traps here already... have they just completely skipped over them or something?!

That's pretty soon, if it's true they are really trying to fast forward the release of waves this time, we could be done by Easter which is great if they have something planned for the 6 month gap before the next game is expected

What if they are going to just skip what we believe to be wave 3.5 (High Five and Bat Spin here in the states) and just fast track wave 4. We already saw that Bat Spin and High Five are supposed to be in Wave 4 boxes. I am not saying this is going to happen, but it could. However, I never see any wave 3 cores not trap masters, so they always could put out a wave 3.5. I would just assume that it would come out pretty soon, especially if we can expect wave 4 late February to mid March.

I don't think they are focusing much on single core packs this time around. The wave 3 triple packs with high five etc are pretty available around me, but we're still only on wave 1 core singles packs. Maybe core singles just arnt selling that well anymore , but I don't know , it's confusing , every county and city is different it seems.

I'm sure in the US, they'll have singles for High Five & Bat Spin, because pretty much everyone here may have S2 Fryno, Trail Blazer, Cobra Cadabra, or whatever other figures came in the triple packs that had either High Five or Bat Spin everywhere else.
The Frito-Lay giveaways they have in the US is a double-edged sword. It's great when they give away variants like last year's clear Hot Dog variant, but it sucks when the most recent giveaway was High Five. That, of course, screwed up the release of Wave 3 because, during the giveaway (10/13/2014 - 12/31/2014), Frito-Lay had exclusive rights to the figure until after the end of the giveaway. Now, nearly a month removed from the Frito-Lay High Five Giveaway, there hasn't been any signs of either Bat Spin and/or High Five in stores in the US. The only way we were able to get them is to import, or go Amazon/EBay.
I had easier time finding Swap Force & Giants figures without relying on online shopping, but I think they royally screwed up this time. There are waits, which I don't mind, then there are waits where you want something from an earlier wave, but it hasn't arrived so you're stuck with the next best thing: the next wave.

If I were you, I wouldn't bet on February the 27th. Mid to late march are much more likely.

Every time I go to Mediaworld, when a new Wave is out, they rarely have it, even if they do have a lot of older ones, and I usually have to go to GameStop, to find something new.

Me too.

This Wave actually has some of my favorite characters (Echo, Blackout and Short Cut), but the point is, I'm also really interested in trying out Rocky Roll, Spotlight and Thunderbolt, because, Light dragon aside, we haven't seen that much, about them.

Ah, who am I kidding...?
Just give me Blackout and release the other even a year later, if you want.

I just got an email from Amazon Italy saying that the release date was changed to February 27th!!

I can confirm Mediaworld still hasn't got them.

My local mediaworld had the light and dark exp pack way before gamestop. At least a week before.
I hope this happens next week with the wave 4 too.

I honestly hope it too, even if my local one rarely has the new Waves first.

eg. Get new traps.... then a couple of weeks till cores...... then a couple more weeks till trap masters......and minis and variants turn up somewhere in there.

I think its just because there is too many different types of figures these days and they just ship each type once they are boxed and ready.

Its not fun getting broken up waves, but its what alot of us have to deal with.

You know, It wouldn't surprise me that much, since they said they wanted to release characters in small bunches, last year, from now on, if it wasn't for a couple things:

- first of all, I know they are already "dividing" Waves, in other counting, but since they have never done it, here, why start now? It seems strange.
- GameStop already set the release dates. Why change them so much...?

It would just seem weird.
Not unfair, disappointing or irritating.
Just weird.

Australia is already getting the wave 4 traps

Nothing at feltrinelli, mediaworld or gamestop.
Just a jet vac + mini and some swap force variant.

Ah, come on!

First the whole Wave 4 (Cores included) was set to release on the 27th.
Then only the Trap Masters, and the rest got delayed sometime near the end of March.

And now this...?

I hope there will be at least a Short Cut and a Thunderbolt, tomorrow, at Mediaworld or GameStop...

Didn't had the chance to go in the stores, today, but it's not a big deal: I bought them on Amazon a couple minutes ago, and they should arrive around the first half of the next week.

I really suggest you to buy them there, even if I do understand you won't be able to look for small imperfections.
