Anyone else think there isnt enough good games on 3DS? The only good games that would be worth getting is Pokemon XY, Pokemon ORAS, Animal Crossing NL, and Tomodachi Life. I see no point in getting Mario Kart 7, Super Mario 3D Land, and NSMB2 because I already have Mario Kart 8, Super Mario 3D World, and NSMBU. Just in general, it seems that the 3DS lacks good games.

Those games are good, im sure, but here is why i wouldnt want them.
Skylanders: Spyro's Adventure not interested in playing skylanders on 3ds Kid Icarus: Uprisingmayby The Legend of Zelda: Ocarina of Time 3D (Remake of an N64 game? Yes. Still really damn good? Yes.)already got it on virtual console Star Fox 64 3D (Same as OoT3D)already got it on virtual console Luigi's Mansion 2dont know anything about the game Mario & Luigi: Dream Teammayby Fire Emblem: Awakeningdont get into fire emblem The Legend of Zelda: A Link Between Worldsyeah that would be a good game Kirby Triple Deluxealready got kirby return to dreamland on wii, never finished it yet Mutant Muddsdont know what this is Gunman Clivedont know what this is Pushblox/Pullbloxthinking about getting pushmo world on Wii U But yeah there are many equivalents of 3DS games on wii u so i think that is the main problem.

Right. theyre just not for me, although sometimes im a little tempted with animal crossing new leaf, but then i come to realise its not worth it for a few games and that most likely animal crossing will release on Wii U.

Many great games are out there, just don't go directly for all first-party games.

Ugh, no. Just... no. KI:U is not unhateable. Also, Smash Brothers is a really good one if you want something for twitch gameplay. |

The nice thing about these games being on different systems is that they all bring a unique experience that's different from other games in the series. Yeah, OoT3D and Starfox3D are the same games, but these games being on one system each gives them that sense of being unique from the rest of the games in their franchises. Luigi's Mansion: Dark Moon is a much different experience than the original Luigi's Mansion. Kirby Triple Deluxe uses special gameplay mechanics that other Kirby games don't. Fire Emblem: Awakening does things that no other Fire Emblem game has done before. In other words, each game refines and evolves the series like a good franchise should. Even the new Smash bros, which is essentially the same game on two different systems, has different gamemodes, stages, etc, on each version to make it feel unique on that particular system. If i'm not mistaken, the last time Nintendo released the same exact game for different platforms was The Legend of Zelda: Twilight Princess. and even then, the Wii version at least had motion controls, unlike the Gamecube version. With this in mind, I think the 3DS has an amazing library of games on it, and it's the obvious reason why i think it's the best console to own out there. But hey, i guess it isn't for everyone. i can see the argument of similar games being on the Wii U and 3DS. :/ Though that probably just makes it even more worth it to get a Wii U.

If you don't have interest in first party games from Nintendo, then yeah maybe the 3DS lacks games. But Nintendo games are frequently among the best the system has to offer, and is the major sticking point that makes the 3DS a more compelling buy than the Vita (Vita has pretty much no support from Sony anymore).
Even still, both handhelds suffer from nearly nonexistent Western third party support and it's a real shame. |

Hey, I have yet to see a good 3D platformer on the iPhone. The only one that I can think of is Bugdom 2.
