The Wii Version

I own both the Xbox One and Wii version of the game. After that dreadful SWAP Force Wii port, I didn't have much faith in the Wii version of Trap Team.
But I have to admit I was surprised in a good way.
First of all, the horendous sound quality that was in SWAP Force has been fixed. Second, from what I have seen so far, nothing has been removed like in SWAP Force. In SWAP Force you couldn't get into the portal in Woodburrow. The prize was simply at the top of the tree. I also recal some of Flynn's dialogue being removed when you first put on the tower of time. The game looks and feels better this time around, however the graphics still aren't the best compared to the other console versions which shouldn't really come as much of a surprise to most people. There are also some lag issues. Particularly in places with lots of ememies such as Doom Challenge or Arena Fights.
No freezing problems this time, except for that one Mystic Mill problem where if you spend too long on the level the game crashes.
It has its flaws, but the Wii version is still very much Trap Team.
Who here owns the Wii version? What do you think of it? Do you think Skylanders 5 will be on the Wii? Lets discuss!

My family has only the wii version of all four games. I must admit that the complaints that I read about it on the forum are surprising. I find the graphics wonderful and the sound every bit as good. The glitches that occur do not seem to be all that different from other game systems. Overall, I am very pleased with this version, although I have nothing else to compare it to.
Trap Team is likely our last Skylanders game as I do not think a wii version will be made for any titles to follow and I cannot justify a new system just for one game at this time. The fact that you get a code with the wii game to upgrade to wii u kind of says it all I think. I believe Hemingway was way ahead of his time when he wrote " For whom the bell tolls, it tolls for wii."

^So I guess you are acknowledging that you don't plan on buying any more games, since no game developer plans on making games on the Wii as a platform.

RIP GhostRoaster. He's reanimated as TakeYourLemons but occasionally is resurrected from the beyond when needed.

I also had a freezing problem on Telescope Towers. I had to restart it three times, but at least I (probably) finished it in time for the time challenge on the last run.

If they don't drop the wii this time I will be annoyed as it's holding back the other versions.

From what I heard, Trap Team is better, both technically and graphically speaking.

Buying a 360 or PS3 right now is only slightly better than just having a Wii. They have already started cutting back on games and the ports back to them are already starting to miss features/have downgrades. Shadow of Mordor is excellent on next gen, and a travesty on 360/PS3. Assassin's Creed even had a completely different game for old systems. And these are just a couple examples.

If you are a Nintendo fan or have a significant collection of Wii games, the WiiU is a great choice, you can transfer over your old data and sell your Wii to help pay for it. Mario Kart 8, Smash and Amiibos have breathed some new life into the system, I really like ours.

I love my WiiU, I play it more than my PS3 or XBox360. Incidentally, the 8GB WiiU is only $250 at Gamestop.

I got the Deluxe version 32GB Wii U console. Not just because it have more memory, but it's also colored black.

The Deluxe version is the best one to get, because there are at least some minimal DLC/games you want some space for - particularly for the free WiiU Trap Team upgrade if you got the Wii version. If you prefer downloadable games, you will need an external hard drive.

Also, they are now releasing Wii games as downloadable, for $9.99 promotional and $19.99 afterwards. Super Mario Galaxy was last week and Punch Out is this week. Next week is Metroid Prime Trilogy, three of the best games ever made (and incredibly hard to find now in the updated Wii form for 1&2 or in the trilogy package) for $10 is a bargain.

After playing the PS3 and Wii U versions of STT... my kid siblings wii version of it looks and plays horrible... Theres a button input lag, as well as general visual lag, and the graphics are terrible. I also noticed that theres a lot of glitches, for example I tried using my trail blazer in it and he would get locked into stampede for minutes, this never occurs in PS3/Wii U.

Yeah, I get it. My built-in is white, so I wanted a white unit to match. I just plugged in a 16GB USB3.0 flash drive, so I'm good with the downloaded version of TT.
