---Ch. 1 – I’m Going to the Carnival…---
Not all special Skylanders are sent to Ares’ Walmart. For example, Whirlpool was a Rip Tide and Dash was a Hot Dog. They were both sent to a certain Target between Arizona and California. They were some of the only Skylanders there. One day, Whirlpool and Dash left their Target, determined to find somewhere else to live. There was just one problem. They had no idea where to go.
“Come on boy, let’s find a place to live!” said Whirlpool to Dash.
“You are aware of the fact that calling me ‘boy’ is slowly degrading my self-worth, correct, Whirl?” asked Dash.
“Yeah,” said Whirlpool quietly. The two friends kept walking down the road, looking for a home. Eventually, they found a gas station. As they started walking to it, they noticed a Skylander to the side of it. They couldn’t tell who it was, but they decided that no harm could come from saying hello. He was spinning a sign that read: ‘Welcome all Skylanders! Come Visit the Freak Show!’ Whirlpool and Dash were about to reach the Skylander.
“Hello, sir?” said Whirlpool as he slowly walked up to the Skylander, who’s back was turned to Whirlpool and Dash. It was a Flameslinger. He turned around to face the Rip Tide and Hot Dog. He spun a sign around his back and threw it into the air in slow-motion. The name Bullseye appeared on the blank side of the sign.
“Hello young sirs! Welcome, to the Freak Show!” exclaimed the Flameslinger. He dramatically threw the sign in the air and shot his hands out to the sides. He caught the sign and leaned against the wall, the sign next to him.
“Name’s Bullseye,” said the Flameslinger.
“Hello sir Bullseye, my name is Dash Hot Dog, and my associate here is Whirlpool Rip Tide. If I may inquire, why is your establishment known as ‘the Freak Show?”
“This is called the Freak Show because, well, everyone here is a bunch of freaks! It’s pretty self-explanatory. We could probably find something for you to do if you want to stay.”
“Wait, what makes you a freak?” questioned Whirlpool.
“Watch this,” said Bullseye. He pulled out two bows, one in each hand. Then his other hand grabbed- wait, a third hand!? Yes, Bullseye had a third arm. His third hand held two arrows in it. He notched both bows.
“Could you throw that sign into the air?” asked Bullseye.
“Sure,” said Whirlpool. He threw the sign high into the sky. Bullseye released both arrows. Each one landed on an exclamation point. Bullseye set down his bows and caught the sign. He pulled the arrows out and put them back in his quiver.
“The entrance to the Freak Show is that small door in the wall over there. I look forward to seeing you again. Enjoy your stay, at the Freak Show!”
Whirlpool and Dash, not seeing a better alternative, opened the door and walked into the Freak Show. They were surprised by what they saw.
There were tons of big tents and houses, and the place was filled with Skylanders, freaks and normals alike (but mostly freaks.)
A Bumble Blast walked up to Dash and Whirlpool. He had a third leg, like a tail. In slow-motion, he leaned back and stood on his third leg and kicked his feet up on an imaginary desk, hands locked behind his hands. The name Tripod appeared at the top of the screen.
“Hello Hot Dog and Rip Tide. I’m Tripod. Not only am I freak, but I also created some of the music you hear here. Take a listen.”
“I’m going to the carnival,
It’s going to be an awf-“
“That’s enough of that,” said Tripod. Suddenly, he froze.
“He’s here,” said the Bumble Blast. He looked down the path where he came from. A figure was dancing down the path.
“Who is that, intriguing Skylander?” asked Dash.
“That’s our leader, Freakshow.” Tripod sounded excited.
“What is he?” asked Whirlpool.
“He’s a clown.” Tripod looked back at Whirlpool and Dash. “Everybody loves clowns.”
---End of Chapter 1---
Everybody loves clowns.
