PPL say that PS2 and Wii graphics are the same, and the PS3 and XBox360 graphics are way better. But my dad who is very knowledgeable about electronics says that the Wii is probably the same as the 360 in terms of graphics. Evidence? If you take a screenshot with an HD display and another with an SD display, it will look a lot better on the HD display, weather you are taking shots of a Wii or a 360. See, you have to be weary of how the screenshots are taken and viewed. Lets say you take a Wii screenshot with an HD monitor/T.V. then look at it with an SD monitor or T.V., you will not see the same quality picture. I hear that the Wii is actually more powerful than the 360, graphically, but some say that the Wii cannot adequately use that powe due to memory. Dad says that the reason the Wii has so much less memory that the XBox360/PS3 is because the Wii is meant ONLY for games, unlike the onther next gen consoles which have DVD players and all kinds of other stuff in them.

I'd like someone to compare the graphics of the Wii and XBox360/PS3 versions first-hand, and tell me of any difference.

P.S. You must view both games with an HD or SD display (Monitor or T.V.) to make accurate comparisons.

Thats very true. I personally have the ps2 version, and to be honest couldnt care less about the graphics, i mean, comeon! The ps2 is like.. .10 years old, of course theyre gonna be lacking somewhat. I know what you mean with the Wii though. Theoretically it should have the same graphics as the 360, but for some reason the graphics for this particular game are the same as the ps2 version.

I know, good graphics don't make a good game.

and PS3, but it looks the same as a console from the last. What? o__O

PS3 has full HD graphics and you can see distence and little tiny things like bugs and flowers floating around. Rays of light from the sun as well, grass textures, such and such.

I know that. But my dad thinks the Wii could do that too. I need a proper comparison.

I heard you can, but it needs a special adapter.

An HDMI adapter? Those I believe can only be used to hook the console up to a computer monitor.

No offense, but your Dad doesn't know a lot when it comes to graphics. The Wii's technology CAN'T match the PS3 anyday... well... unless the developers were REALLY bad and made a Multi-Console game with the same graphics on both consoles. Still, the PS3 is a LOT better than the Wii. DVDs are 10 years old, so the Wii has about 2-4 more years on the market. PS3 is going to have a 10 year plan. And yes, HDMI increases the quality like you wouldn't believe. The Wii= PS2 dressed up like a MAC.

It depends on what they could do with the systems. In the PS2 version, the graphics weren't great. In Sonic Unleashed, the PS2 graphics are good enough for even me to call PS3-like graphics (with the exception of true HD).

The HDMI only makes it better if you have an HD TV.

I use the old red white and yellow plugs and the the PS3 still shows it's awesomeness.

But since my TV is old, it only uses the yellow and red ones. xD

Getting a new HDMI TV soon...

Did I [i]say[i] the Wii could match the PS3? NO! I said the Wii could match the XBox360. Read more carefully.

PPl say that the PS3/360 can display little things like butterflies and rays of light. I have the PS2 version, and although I have never seen a butterfly in DotD, I have seen rays of light, whisps of smoke, particles of dirt in the wind, Textures on rocks and what-not, all the swirls of darkness and snatching claws of Cynder's shadow element, indevidual flames of Spyro's fire breath, ETC. Do I need to go on? Also, everything looks perfectly clear and sharp, and the colors are bright and crisp.

No offence but that's not a good example. It doesn't matter if u use PS2 or 360 on an HD or SD T.V. if you record it like that. It's blury and pixelated and the colors aren't great. We need PS2 gameplay recorded through a device, professionally, if you will.

Yea....It dosnt have flowers in the PS2 version... And no swarming bugs....either... But its not ugly!
