Considering the PS4's lack of backwards compatibility, I'd say go for PS3. Though really it's a matter of which has more games you'd be interested in. Granted for the PS4 you should look at what's set to come out for it as well, given it's currently limited library.

PS3. PS4's library is still too small to warrant its $400 price. (I got mine for free and that's probably the only price I'd buy it for. smilie)

get a ps3....

it have a lot of good games
it have more games than the ps4
free online gaming
it have dlna and ps3 media center for streaming
it is cheaper...

PS4 if you have the money, but you don't necessarily have to, as someone who uses PS3 and PS4 as main gaming consoles, I have to say, PS3 is well worth it. So is PS4 of course, but PS3 has lower price, for very good quality, plus, it's backwards compatible in some cases..

If you have the money, go full-on PS4

Ditto.

Wait for a bit until PS4's library has gotten bigger. It'll be cheaper and you'll have much to look forward to if all goes well. In the meantime, get the PS3 and get the Uncharted series. If you can't get all three of them, get Uncharted 2. Fun games.

Believe me, other than for From Software's Bloodbourne(?), that's the only reason why I want to get a PS4, and I even I know it's not much. Though, if a new Spyro game came out, I'd sell myself into slavery for a year, just so I can afford that
