Hi all firstly I am new here so don't shoot me down haha.

I have got the sky landers starter pack that came with a lg telly I purchased couple years ago (got 3 characters, the base and cable)

I bought a telly just before xmas for my front room a 4k smart telly and don't like having to use a magic remote/wand with it so was wondering if I bought the game on a different platform wii/ps3/xbox could I use the base and characters from the starter pack? Cheers

The right place is Skylanders Toys and Merchandise in the future, btw, but from what I get from your post, only the figures work in a different plataform. Some portals work in more than one console,but most of the time it's exclusive to one or two at the most.

So I would need to get another portal/base. The base that I currently got just connects to the telly via usb and just changes colour when plugged in.

I'm not sure about the support of your Battlegrounds TV portal, but every physical game comes with a portal for the appropriate platform (though Giants has a starter pack option without a portal in addition to the main starter pack), so even if you do want a Skylanders game for a different platform, the starter pack has you covered.

However, the 4 games available on consoles are different from the one you already have, as Battlegrounds was never released for consoles. The figures are supported by most of the console games, but Jet-Vac doesn't work on Spyro's Adventure, and Royal Double Trouble will appear as normal Double Trouble in Spyro's Adventure.
