If there is four villans in the light and dark elements was there going to be four light and dark traps instead of three?

I dont believe there were any plans to have more than 3 sadly. It bothers me that I cant have each villain trapped in individual traps for light/dark elements without getting a duplicate trap for each.

I personally wouldve liked to see a light angel and dark orb or tiki trap

Light Hand/Dark Screamer would've been perfect. I think the reason they only made 3 was because they still want you to have a reason to go to the villain vault, and you'll still need to think about which villains to bring into a level.

I think the reasoning came from the fact that Light and Dark are mini elements. Only one trap master and core for each, instead of two each for the other elements. This makes sense. However, if they wanted to keep it uniform, which they always have, then the trappable villains should have been created the same way. 6 each for the main elements and 3 each for the two mini elements. Classic right hand not telling the left hand what it was doing. Major mistake in my mind. My OCD has been going nuts.

If there were more Light and Dark Traps, I'd choose to have as followed:

Light Orb Trap - Sun Sphere
Light Torch Trap - Tunnel Torch
Light Hourglass Trap - Stardust of Time
Dark Skull Trap - Dusk Skull
Dark Toucan Trap - Nightmare Raven
Dark Tiki Trap - Creepy Tiki
