Why do the traps not come with the card/trading cards? Considering how expensive the traps are, for what they are, you would think they would at least come with a trading card of some sort. I personally do not like that we have cards for everything, but not the traps.

I put all cards in a reference binder.

Maybe because they are just traps, not characters. Though it would've been cool if traps came with trading cards of the villains.

Agreed TOlofter, especially since cards come with Magic Items, it would have been nice for Traps to come with cards as well.

What are you talking about? The Traps are only $6 + tax. Be thankful they didn't charge a full $10 like cores.

Maybe the company wants to save some materials used to produce cards for Skylander characters and magic items instead of including Traps.

I'm thinking along the lines of them introducing actual real life board games based on the video game.

If the traps contained a card the packaging would have to be bigger, and then would cost more to ship and they'd have to raise the price of traps instore. Then you would be complaining more about trap prices.
The cards are really for main figures anyway. Figures that they'll keep supporting with new games. Traps might get supported in the next game but it's doubtful they'll be compatible in the long run like skylanders or magic items.

Sure it would be nice to have cards for each villain, but then again, the Topps Skylanders set, both the europe and USA versions, have cards for both. I think it would have been cool though.

This is completely true! And plus I have too many cards that idk what to do with anyways!

Maybe if the ones with variant villains like SBG, OB&C, RSS, and RLG.

I just feel if magic items get cards, so should the traps.

And yes, I do feel 7.99 for a simple non-licensed clear trap with no paint application and you can really do nothing with, is expensive. Thats why I can't justify buying many of them. To me, $4-5.99 is more appropriate. If there was more to them, say cards, mini display stands or villains stickers or tiny mini figures of the villains to place inside the trap, sure. Even confirmation they can be utilized in future games.

Come S5, it will be interesting to see how cheap the traps go on clearance.

I think cause the package it's too small to put cards in it
