Portal Glitches?

This occasionally happens only with my STT portal. I've never had any problem with any other portal, except one time when I stepped on my SG portal, it glitched out, but somehow "fixed itself"? Not complaining about that though. I was just wondering if you guys ever have problems with the STT portal, sometimes if I take a skylander off, they still stay in the game, even when I put it back on the portal after it was already off. So technically, I can sometimes play without a skylander even on the portal. It's actually pretty cool, and the only way to fix it is to press the "tag" button and switch to a villain. And sometimes, the speaker on the portal doesn't make any sound when the villain returns to the portal, but makes the sound a few minutes later, even if there's a different trap on the portal. One time after Kaos was taken out, and I was playing as Chomp Chest, Kaos started talking. :/

This is much other than a small annoyance, but I was just wondering if anyone else has encountered these problems?

EDIT:

I just remmered another strange, uh, "Glitch" ( is that what you would call it? ) sometimes, it makes a strange humming sound... like a fan is running... but there is no fan... it's hard to explain the sound, but I hope it doesn't mean it's messed up in some sort of way..

The only glitch I had with the portal was that in 2-player mode, after a character died, the portal wouldn't let me put a new character on. The old character just disappeared from the "needs to rest" screen when I took him off. My sister also switched the trap when this happened. I fixed it by taking my sister's character off the portal, and the trap loaded and it allowed me to put a character on.

I have in fact seen a time where I removed the character from the portal but the player is still active in the game. It's in the bug thread. I don't think it's the portal per se but perhaps the coding in the game. If however NO character can be read consistently would I suspect it's the portal.

This REALLY worries me in terms of possible corruption of either game save file or character. If they get sloppy here and folk's toys stop working they will have a mess of a problem.

There was a two second delay once on TT when I took a character off on the Wii U (only version I have apart from the 3DS one)

A few weeks before trap team came out, I wanted to grind for money and levels for orange based skylanders (All 37 green bases are fully leveled and upgraded on that game). I know Angry Angry Plants and the Sky Diamond are faster but I only wanted to use the sky diamond if I needed upgrades after level twenty and Angry Angry Plants was getting boring. Anyway, I played with S2 Eruptor for a level and upgraded him with Persephone. As soon as I upgraded him, I took him off the portal. The character didn't leave the game though. I could attack and go to different rooms. I tried putting him back on then taking him off, putting a different character on the portal and I even tried going to the mode select. I unplugged my console but I decided to do something else (can't remember what exactly).

Has this happened to anyone else?

The worst portal problem I've seen in pre-TT was when my Granite Crusher suddenly stopped working--I suspect the portal or game corrupted him or the chip simply stopped working.

this is a bug not a glitch... you can watch the portal and if it stops showing any lights, then it will happen. but its easily fixed, just go into another room/change villain in trap or load up a arena/level its back to normal again.

My favorite TT portal issue is putting a small-base corelander in the dead zone in the exact middle go the portal. For reals, my fav is putting a corelander or magic item over the trap opening whilst playing in the first three skylanders.

I'm not sure if this is a portal issue or not, but playing on the 360 trying to change villains in a trap. The new villain goes in but a few moments later a screen pops up saying that there's a problem with a toy on the portal. This screen only goes away when I take the trap out but when I replace it the new villain is gone and the original one is back there again.

I have mentioned this problem before. Perhaps it's intentional to try and get people to buy more traps. Fortunately I've almost finished ever villain quest so I won't need to put up with this anymore.

I've had the game freak out with me if I try to play the minis while still in the double packs. Occasionally, it will choose to randomly read the 2nd figure while still off the portal...then it will go haywire loading up the villain and the other sidekick...then the portal freezes up necessitating to unplug and replug the USB cord.
