How can you have friend on Spyro's Lair? Doesn't it only let you pick from a list of sayings?

I don't get how you can have friends on Spyro's Lair either.... If you have to choose what you say from a list, you can't get to know a person too well, can you?

No, I'm not saying it sucks; I'm just saying you can't really meet friends there.
