Resetting to "just opened package"?

I would like to reset my Wii U Trap Team (Dark Edition) to basically what it would be like if everything was just opened. No hats, trinkets, gold, power levels, etc.

Would this work?
1. Reset all the Trap Team characters
2. Delete all game data from Wii U

From other posts, is it possible to "empty" a trap... move any villain inside out of it so that there's nothing inside?

Thanks

Three things:

1. Delete the save file or start a new one.
2. You can reset each character one at a time by resetting it on the character menu.
3. You cannot wipe trap data. It remembers who was evolved on the trap, and who is currently on the trap. I've not tried starting a new save file to see if the evolved status is save file specific instead of trap specific.

It is not possible to empty out a trap, which is very stupid

As an aside, for special characters that come at level 5 / 2100 coins (none yet in Trap Team, but plenty in Giants) resetting the character will not reset it to level 5/2100 coins...you'll get level 1/0 coins.

Here's my thought on traps...
1. We come across Sheep Creep first and capture him a trap that he has not been in
2. Complete the level
3. Go to the prison and copy him over into each of the other traps in his element
4. Repeat as the game progresses for each villain you come across in a new element

Hopefully this should give the low level villains

IMO all this will do is document who you've evolved that was in that trap. Has anyone confirmed this data is stored on the trap or in the save file? Ie if you start a new save file and move a non evolved Chompy Mage into a trap that HAD evolved Chompy Mage at one time in a different save file will it come up evolved?

I feel it's all stored on traps based on past conversations, but second guessing myself.

I think information is stored on traps for example I had a evolved gulper and replaced it with cross crow when I got a new water trap I thought since I evolved gulper it would be evolved when I put it on the new trap but was proven wrong so I decided to put gulper back on the trap I evolved him on and when I put gulper back on he was evolved. I don't think the data on the traps are deleted just stored away I haven't tested my colored variant traped villains or to compare my dark edition kaos trap to my regular kaos trap

the evolutionary status is saved on the specific trap you did the quest on, so if you have more than one life trap and want evolved sheep creep on them all, you need to do the test with all traps.

if you evolve a villain in one save, and then start a new save, the villain is still trapped and still evolved.
it is possible to start from the very beginning with evolved Kaos.

hope that clears any confusion up smilie

I do understand that it all starts over once a new life trap is used. I do know that traps store the evolution status...but does it do it for ALL villains that are stored and evolved on it and is it independent of game system and save files? Allow me to draw up a specific scenario.

Game System A Save File 1
Evolved Chompy Mage on Life Trap A
Evolved Broccoli Guy on Life Trap A

Game System A Save File 2
When Chompy Mage and Broccoli Guy is stored on Life Trap A...they will still be evolved?

Game System B Save File 1
If Life Trap A moves to Game System B with new Save File, both villains stored on Game System A will be evolved when trapped with Life Trap A?

Given that this is the first toy keeping track of stats for multiple characters, I wanted to be very sure the trap is doing the knowledge collecting and not the save file.

I play on my PS4 when my sons take the traps to their wii U the villains are still there. They haven't finished the game yet and they get me to load villains for them.

Yep, the last stored villain is. I'm asking something specific to it keeping track of evolved status of MULTIPLE villains that may have been stored on a specific trap in the past, regardless of system or save file.

yeah all villains stay evolved.
i have an elemental set of traps that i have all the possible villains evolved on them, and they can be swapped in and out between save files and over different consoles and keep their evolvedness.
