In your opinions, what your top five recommended Skylanders to buy for STT and what are your reasons for each?!

Fist Bump: If you go for the top path, he becomes a very powerful Skylander with both physical and projectile power.

Bushwack: Very powerful all around. Has a stunning move, too.

Knight Mare: Though expensive ($30), she's a great character and has lots of power and speed.

Wallop: Spammy character, but very powerful and fun. Especially fun when you just wanna wreck stuff.

Those are all I could think of. But don't buy Jawbreaker. Even though he looks cool, he's not that good.

Let's see...

Blades: really awesome dragon that focuses on melee rather than "breath".
Has some really cool moves which can be combined to obtain incredible effects.

Fist Bump: one of the best Cores to date. Really fun to play as and EXTREMELY powerful.
You can even choose a path that heals you, but I prefer the projectiles one.

High Five: only half way into upgrading him, and I already love that little guy.
His paths let's you take an interesting decision, but if you are brave enough to take the most "dangerous" one, you won't regret it.

Lob-Star: amazing. Absolutely amazing. Fast, powerful, fun to play as and quite brilliant.
An improved Fryno, in a certain way. A must have.

Krypt King: didn't thought I would have liked him that much. He's slow, I admit it, but his attacks are cool and effective. A beast on both paths.

I would also highly recommend Déjà Vu, Knight Light, Bat Spin and Blastermind.

I personally prefer Jawbreaker over Wallop, when needing a strong and no-brainer brawler.
But that's just a personal opinion, of course.
Wouldn't actually recommend it, honestly.

1. Knight Mare – Super fun and creative character love her attacks especially the horn attack.
2. Knight Light – Fun and different attacks love the one attack where he goes invisible. Very creative again. Also love that he can fly over lasers so that you don't get hit.
3. Bat Spin – Powerful for the cores and lots of fun. Thought I was gonna hate her but she made it into my top 5.
4. High Five – Interesting character and can attack quickly which I always favor.
5. Chopper – He is a dinosaur...enough said haha. He can fly over lasers so not to get hit and love the roar attack.

Honorable mention goes to Gearshift, Blades and Fist Bump who are powerful and caused me a lot of debate in putting together my top 5 for you.

I'd say

1. smilie is a great fighter and is needed to open dark gates. You even get an awesome trap for Dark villains and smilie is a great villain too.

2. smilie he looks great and looks like a really strong fighter. Very unique and his phantom puppets could be very useful allies.

3. smilie is a very fun character and his cannon is really strong. Take him on his cannon jump path and you got a fast, fun and very powerful ally on your side.

4. smilie is very cool and is surprisingly helpful. Her bats are really strong and she is a fun looking character.

5. smilie may not look all that fun, but he is very good and gets stronger on his fist path. Trust me he is stronger than he looks.

Here are my personal recommendations:

1. Knight Light
-Only Light trap master, comes with trap and level piece, flashing all over the place and slowing down enemies with auras is fun
2. Wildfire (or Dark Wildfire)
-Great for crowd control, sliding on his shield is pretty fun, good for comboing/tanking
3. Magna Charge (or Nitro Magna Charge)
-Can deal with small enemies quickly, is pretty fast, definitely amusing to throw enemies off the stage.
4. Ignitor (or S2, or Legendary)
Able to take out enemies quickly and safely with his Soul of the Flame path, fun to play.
5. Night Shift (or Legendary Night Shift)
-Very resilient, can steal life, can die multiple times without becoming 'tired' on the right path for Shift.

Trail Blazer: First unicorn out of Skylands. Kinda surprizing since Whirly's backstory said there was unis and he is the first one we have seen. He is super fun to play as and his attacks are strong. Good team up with Spyro to defeating large enemies.

Bop: Adorable, powerful, what else is there to say?

Drobit: Like his big version he is pretty powerful with his Lazer attack and he still has that iconic robotic voice.

And That's all I can think of. *yawns* Good night. (Falls a asleep.)

Chopper is pretty hilarious to play as. Freaking dinosaur walking around missle blasting people, might not be the most powerful, but I think He's enjoyable.

Tread Head is pretty basic, but he has the best charge attack in the game, and his spin out makes him durable. If you like crashing into stuff, you'll like him.

Wild fire is very enjoyable, a nice balance between good gameplay and raw power. I recommend the sheild combo path.

Deja Vu is fairly complicated, and you have to experament a bit to learn the ins and outs of playing her. That being said, She's my new favorite Magic Skylander. I enjoy someone that takes a little thought to play effectively, plus, her adventure pack has hippie trolls.

Fist bump, do yourself a favor and get fist bump. My brother has him, and he just destroys everything. Looks pretty fun to play too.

One I would NOT recommend, however, is funny bone. I got him on a whim, and I kinda regret it. He looks cute and all, but he doesn't play well, and he suffers from sprocket syndrome (Having a turret that's really weak but takes a million years to set up).

If someone ever made Skylanders into a MOBA, I'd be ok with that.

1. Blastermind - Very underrated IMO, great on either path, his brainwaves are really strong and his levitation attacks are awesome.

2. Wildfire - Put him on the Chain Champion path, and his chains get really frigg'n good, really fun overall.

3. Cobra Cadabra - Very fun, very unique

4. High Five - One of the fastest skylanders in the game, his Pollen Prince path is where he shines

5. Blades - His gimmick of shooting blades into the ground and either swirling them with the tornado or hitting them with his wings really works and is really fun to use. Very unique overall

I don't recommend Chopper, Very bland and has nothing going for him other than his design
I also wouldn't recommend Jawbreaker do to sheer blandness.

Ok, here we go:

1. smilie: I know, I know she's in an adventure pack, but you can get legendary if you want. However, in my opinion she's a must buy, you can spam black holes all over the place and destroy EVERYTHING!

2. smilie: First of all, you need her to open up the dark gates and second: she's amazing. Her sword is very fast and strong and you can create shadow clones with your third attack, isn't that awesome? And her voice is EPIC!

3. smilie: If she isn't out yet in your country then wait, it's worth it. She has a lot of variants of attacks combos, shooting, speeding up, spinning just everything.

4. smilie: She plays similair to Stealth Elf, so if you want something different, leave her out. She's very fast and has a lot of strong attacks and most important... she's a cat. Though, her second attack is pretty useless, but so is Stealth Elf's right?

5. smilie/smilie: I can't decide who's better, so I'll say something for both. Bat Spin is also pretty fast and her bats have a pretty long distance. I'm not a big fan of her bat form, but it's good for melee fights. While Cobra Cadabra has notes that reach far, I hate his second attack it's his most useless attack. You just have baskets that can only damage if a foe walks into them and that's NOT happening very often. His third attack isn't that bad but I wish it would have a longer distance.

Here are some skylanders that aren't released yet but seem to be VERY good, so you should wait for them:

I know you said 5 but here's what you really want. You want a Trap Master of each element. I'd recomend;
Tuff Luck
Wildfire
Krypt King
Enigma (But he isn't out so yet so Blaster Mind)
Gear Shift
Thunderbolt (He also isn't out though so Gusto)
Wallop

Cobra Cadabra has become my main go-to guy when I don't need to open a gate etc.
His projectiles are fun, and despite not doing very much damage, I just really like the snakes he summons,

Wallop is of course very fun

Wildfire surprised me on his melee attacks aswell,

Well, I would agree, if you are going to buy 5, it has to be trap masters.

Thus, Nitro Krypt King, Blastermind, Wildfire, Gearshift, and Wallop. You already have Snap Shot so you have to skip on two of them, so I would skip Gusto (air) and Bushwack (life).

If you are going to choose 5 regardless of the price, I would echo the sentiments and get the Light and Dark packs first, then choose Nitro Krypt King, Wildfire and Gearshift.

If you felt like splurging on a non trap master, I would go with Treadhead.

Here's some more Skylanders that I, recommend!
(In order of the need you must get them of course!)

1. Wallop: Trust me. Get him. Just do it.

2. Wildfire: As stated above, his melee is very good, and both paths are very good, and Lion Form is very fun and useful, and is an all-round versatile character!

3. High Five: Though I was disappointed at first, the pollen clouds surprised me a lot when I used my other extra High Five on the top path, they are fairly strong, and can travel around the screen damaging enemies

4. Cobra Cadabra: Like I said before, he's my new favourite in STT, baby snakes ( Is that what you call them? ) are pretty fun and powerful, and his primary attack is powerful aswell. And, for some reason, he seems a bit faster than he would look. Also, his in game look, and toy form is very cool looking and well made!

5. Fist Bump: I've heard many great things about this one... Hmm... Yes... I do recommend!

Heck I only have 5 in total of which one I haven't played, and with a 6th incoming.. but I will say that Chopper and Torch are fun to play. Both are great figures which is my main reason for getting them, but also good in game. Chopper can fly, albeit slowly, without using up a skill slot, and spam all kinds of missiles while looking cool. The roar animation is very cool, but sadly the roar itself isn't great in utility or damage smilie Torch on the other hand can potentially do some very good damage. I went with the flamer upgrade path, and it's pretty nutty how much static damage you can do with it. Downside is that it can be a bit tricky to "activate" the most damaging form of the flamer, especially if you're trying to move at the same time.

In terms of Trap Team Skylanders that are out, I would have to go with:

5. Torch or Wildfire They both have unique & interesting moves, are powerful, & have ranged & melee attacks!
4. Bushwhack He is really fun, powerful, and his soul gem is very cool!
3. Blades He is really fun to play as & is very powerful
2. Déjà Vu She has really fun powers & her past-self can be very helpful when on the top path (Gives you health when it's damaged)!
1. Tread Head He has speed, power, & fun attacks!

Heres some i recommend

1. smilie Blades He seems like a very good melee character and his Cyclones are cool too. He also has a jump attack and can do a lot of cool combo type stuff.

2. smilie Blackout He may not be out yet, But he is a BEAST! His wing slashes are good to use once then spam his secondary the orb for a bit and i would use his black holes alot to!

3. smilie Deja Vu Alot of people don't like and i don't get why. Shes a beast with her Time Rifts that can turn into black holes, And her orbs aren't that bad. I would go with the Top path once getting her.

4. smilie Knight Light He attacks really fast with his Scmitar and if you go with the top path he can do alot of cool types of Combos with his sword! His secondary attack is really cool and fast if you go with the bottom path!

5 smilie Knight Mare Her sword attacks are really powerful right off the bat and her battle horn is just plain awesome. Her character design too is amazing overall!

1) smilie Knight Light. Besides needing him to open any Light gates, he flies, teleports and has some pretty wicked sword attacks. Plus his design is pretty cool.
2) smilie Knight Mare. As with Knight Light, you need her to open Dark Gates. However, besides having lesser health than her Light counterpart, her attacks are much more brutal. Not to mention her horn attack is wicked.
3) smilie Krypt King. Slow, but he's a freaking tank. Great health, and both his paths do impressive damage. Soul Gem ability can do massive Critical damage
4) smilie High Five. One of the best cores to date. Helped me with Time Challenges on Midnight Museum & Sunscraper Spire. Fast as hell and both paths are, as Flynn would say, "awesome".
5) this is a tough one. Between smilie Torch & smilie Wallop, both have excellent attacks. If your Trap Master oriented, Wallop hands down. Best Earth Trap Master. If you're more toward cores, then Torch is quite handy, especially if you upgrade her flamethrower attacks. Then she becomes wicked in fire damage

I would think that you would want to make your choice based on how much of the game can be unlocked, assuming that you are sticking with just 5 skylanders after the starter pack. Based on total number of elemental gates in the game and which element you would need to open them, I would get the following Trap Masters (gates): Snap Shot (6) comes with game, Wallop (6), Blastermind (6) Bushwhack (5), Gearshift (5), KaBoom (5). This will allow you to open 33 of the total 48 elemental gates in the game. This includes those in the light/dark chapters, but I think my point is clear.

Going off just having a good time?
1. Wildfire - as versatile as they come and gels well with lots of villains. High damage, fast movement via attack chains, ranged and melee, only issue I have is the start-up on lion mode is so long that it's 'hardly' viable.
2. Fist Bump - the 'Prism Break' of this entry, the guy who just spamming - sucks, but with thought, utterly destroys EVERYTHING. Points for being a Panda.
3. Lob-Star - so far, IMO the strongest Trap Master. Super fast projectiles, steaming is a great attack and stat boost, super fast movement.
4. Ka-Boom - I HATE his design, but the sound they chose for his cannonballs (dodgeballs!), completely makes up for it. He's great at spamming, his non -spammable move does insane damage, he works well with villains, and... DODGEBALL!
5. Gusto - as typical, fat characters look stupid (as a fat guy it irritates me), but he's pretty effective and pretty diverse. He doesn't hit as hard as say Wildfire, but his range is greater, and thus think of him as a 'safer' version.

Honorable mention - Black Out looks VERY promising for joining the list.

On the flipside, my 'all disappointment team'...
1. JawBreaker - as one dimensional as playing Tetris with blocks of 2 instead of 4.
2. Head Rush - simply put, no. Her design had potnetial, but her attacks fall super flat
3. Funny Bone - just not enough meat on the bones (pun intended) for continual play. Pretty underpowered, and Hot Dog plays the 'dog' role better.
4. Blastermind - so much potential, but doesn't do enough ranged damage, and requires too much 'work' for the damage he does get.
5. Knight Mare - her 'gimmick' if you will of shadow clones - are just useless. If buffed, she would skyrocket, but similar to Knight Light, they both 'devolve' to 'just mash the sword attack button.
- Unreall
