I've seen so many young users claim, and was misled, that Mags was Luminous throughout the game without fully understanding the scenario of the Sunscraper Spire chapter. Or maybe because the scenario wasn't clear enough to some.

So many "Mags is Luminous! Mags is Luminous!" phrases.



And then there's Luminous' quote about him impersonating Mags -

I thought the Mags copy that Luminous created is the one from the start, thanks for clearing that up more for me.

Don't believe this, it was a fake disguised mags. It would have been nice if they'd show that.

I had the same thought Aura did from the start..

Not to mention skydad fooled his subscribers by being fooled himself (he knows it was a disguise now though)

Yeah, but it still only led many (and numbers counting) young fans to believe that "Mags is Luminous".

If the scenario was played much more clearer, I think most fans would get the truth right away.

Thought I'd make a topic about this confusion.

And if anyone else needs more proof, I heard Luminous say that he hopes Mags doesn't have any hard feelings toward him for using her image as one of his academy quotes.

Yeah, if you have Luminous in a trap on the Traptanium Portal and you are close to Mags, he'll say that quote.

"I hope there's no hard feelings with Mags after I... impersonated her."

That should (hopefully) clear up any more confusion.

I even made a video of Luminous' quote that confirms that he impersonated Mags, but I know that the fans who watch skydad and those who were confused by the cutscene will still think "Mags is Luminous".

Yeah, I noticed almost all Light Skylander videos, especially Skylander boy and girls videos, are filled with kids in the comments saying "Mags is Luminous!", or "mags is luminus" >->

Everytime my son sees Mags, she says "she's evil". I have to admit she was a bit creepy in Sunscaper Shire as the light was being restored. There's event hints in the dialogue as the level progresses. Kinda surprised folks can't take some contextual clues and play detective.

It's sloppy storytelling. I don't think this was meant to be a big point of debate, so the fact that it's confusing players means something was missed - like a post-level cutscene showing the real Mags run in asking what she missed. Either no one thought to script this part out, or it was cut for time/budget with the voiceover line in the Academy left as resolution.

You know what i don't get? even though the Skylanderdad was like ''mags was evil all along'' in his light element song, the official Skylanders facebookpage supported the song while it had false information since its clear now that Luminous was just a fake Mags...

That should (hopefully) clear up any more confusion.

Well there are the growing number of fans who watch Skydad and believe his Light element song and commentary on Sunscraper Spire. And then there are the fans who are simply confused by the scenario.

I have to agree that the Luminous deception could've been played much more clearer.

But,what if luminous took mag's shape?

The best storytelling is leaving it to the imagination...there were enough clues to know. Even worse storytelling was having a good character be bad and then jump back into story mode and there she is, helping you out.

Just look at the lore behind Five Nights at Freddy's.

I guess next thing we'll hear is that Cali REALLY thought Flynn was so daring, awesome and dreamy in Nightmare Express.

The real Mags goes with you to Sunscraper Spire and stays behind at the beginning of the level. She even hints that she feels like they were being watched. As soon as the Skylander reaches the first block puzzle in the second area, Luminous approaches them just after shapeshifting into Mags (as evident by the glowing on him as it disappears afterwards and then gives out hints of unusual behavior different from Mags').

After you capture Luminous, the real Mags is back at the Academy.

Trap Quotes about Mags clearly tell that she isn't what fans believe her to be after they played Sunscraper Spire.

Most people I know that are confused by it are not children, some of them act like it tho. lol

Well kids who watch skydad didn't understand the story, and he gave them misleading info about it, which he hasn't changed since and still misleads young fans to this day.

Oh Aura, if only your discoveries can be spread far and wide across the web! It can correct the minds of many Portal Masters who had the misfortune to believe this mistake that was created and spreading that rumour to many more comments sections to mislead even more people! Putting poor Mags the suspect of a crime she did not commit and leaving me with a most undesired frustration!

To put it simply: Aura, if only your videos can catch the eyes of the many kids who didn't understand what happened because I am sick and tired of "Mags is Luminous" comments flooding every playthrough video I see.
