Who else think the Eon's Elite should have been based on the S2's?

What I mean is instead of S1 Spyro being the base of Eon's Elite Spyro, it should have been based on S2 Spyro? While not bugging me much, it would have added more value to them. S2 Spyro. is my favorite version of Spyro, who is my favorite Skylander.

Just wait, you might get what you want after all.. Even though they aren't selling as well as expected, they still might break even with such a high profit margin. And then make s2 EE, OR some new core EE's!

I'd doubt we'l get an Eon's Elite S2 Spyro. MAYBE, but I doubt it. I do think we will see an Eon Elite for Giants though.

Am I the only one who thinks Eon's Elite figures were a gauge to figure out if Activision can profitably milk extra money out of the top 5% fan base on a super overpriced "limited" figure year after year in addition to the the money they make on their armada of annual gimmick characters, core characters, and other plastic peripherals?

I'm guessing there's not enough data on those chips to qualify "re-issues or special releases" so they defaulted to S1. Last time I reviewed the chip fields there wasn't a lot they can sink their teeth into for all of these special releases.

Honestly?

they should be based on the most recent version of those characters, but with a 'reposed' look. It's a nice chunk of change, they could do us that one thing.

And give us Prism Break...

If they do intend to have Eon's Elite with S2 figures, I'd definitely choose the following:

Magic - S2 Spyro
Tech - S2 Trigger Happy
Earth - S2 Bash
Air - S2 Sonic Boom
Fire - S2 Flameslinger
Water - S2 Zap
Life - S2 Zook
Undead - S2 Cynder

But I guess we'll never know.

I forgot about S2 Camo, but it don't think lightcores count as a new series. So forgotten 7.

Are you sure? Even if you can I don't think they have the same high stats in Giants. So you're saying switch paths in Giants and then play with them again in Trap Team with their greater powers?

Personally I wish they had the Wow Pows, just so Whirlwind would have been worth buying.

I noticed something with the holographic backs on the EE... If you put EE Whirlwind to the left of EE Trigger Happy, it makes an image. The sheep on Whirlwind's packaging are looking at half a gear...and if you put Trigger Happy to the left, his package has the other half! I bet If you were to line the ones that were out up in the following order: Spyro, Chop Chop, Whirlwind, Trigger happy, they would make a bigger image. I don't have Chop Chop, so I can't check.

Not that it means anything, if nothing else a cool parlor trick. And you only need $200 to see it all!

if we get a S2 Eon's Elite I want Chill, that's all i'm hoping for.

ANYHOW I have a question I do got Spyro and Stealth Elf on Eon's Elite and Stealth Elf is one of my favorite characters.
Now going through all the Heroic Challenges pretty much became pointless as of Swap Force and you were only given a small bonus as of Swap Force for doing so. I haven't checked if we are given a bonus in Trap Team but i assume that bonus would also be 3X for the elites? i'm asking because while I'd like to see the heroic challenges return, they are just so gosh darn boring! to do over and over again if you have a full set of skylanders.
I decided earlier this year only my favorites would go through all heroic challenges. But I simply don't don't want to do them again without a bigger bonus.

I think it is better as S1 than S2 because 1. They all had reposes that are elite and 2. They started off the franchise on Spyro's Adventure and 3. If they made an elite Chill you would be able to use it on SA where with these ones you can play them on every game.

S1 makes sense since they've been around since the start, though I suppose they could've made them look like S1 but have switchable paths and such. But the one thing I really don't like the concept of them being more powerful in-game. Plus there's no Prism Break, who would've been my only EE purchase just for the fact that I have all the other versions save for S1 of PB. Couldn't find S1 in stores by the time I started with Skylanders a year ago.

Oh am sure we could all come up with arguments about better Elite characters. I love that Spyro, Gill Grunt and Stealth Elf were there but am sure Zook, Bash, Flameslinger, Hex or many others should be there instead but its a moot argument as it was going to be 8 and there will never be consensus on them.

However, I would agree they were pretty much purely for squeezing every last drop of money possible. Eon's Elite characters? Not a bad idea. $25 vs $15 for a trap master for a character which took minimal effort albeit with a cool box? Pure milking the cash cow with that price. If it was nearer to $15, I'd have not said that.

while I'd say the majority of the ones chosen from the first Skylanders game were safe choices though probably not my preferred choices. I feel a character like Eruptor, Terrafin and maybe whirlwind weren't the best choices.
Whirlwind I may give them but I feel too many do actually hate her. Eruptor is probably the biggest offender here because while he keeps coming back I tend to think he has a bigger love hate with fans then any other skylander character. I tend to hate Eruptor and feel Ignitor would have been the better choice since I think most loved him. Terrafin has his fans but I think Prism Break or Bash was the better choices. Bash is still going for around 80 dollars on ebay last I checked. There is no bad path to choose for him either we all tend to like him.

for myself
Magic- Spyro
Undead - Hex (though i accept Chop-Chop as the safe and popular choice)
Earth - Bash
Life - Stealth Elf
Water - Zap (Gill Grunt was the safe choice but i'm so tired of him)
Tech - Drobot
Fire - Ignitor
Air - Warnado (whirlwind was probably the best choice... but other then Warnado I think Air has been the weakest of skylander characters for me)

I don't think they should have been. I picked up Elite Stealth Elf. Maxed out at level 20, she has over 2400 health with some serious amounts of damage with her fast attacks! Played as her on Kaos Doom Challenge levels 81-100 without using villians to attack. I just used Broccoli Guy to refill my health between rounds.

I honestly don't think anyone will buy them, considering the Skylander boy and girl (my archnemecees) didn't even buy the stealth elf and terrafin because they would have cost 60$
