I just encountered a 6 ft. black rat snake... [CLOSED]

...in the crack of the wall down in my basement... It was literally head-level with me. I nearly **** my pants, then realized it was a relatively harmless snake and let it go. It also had eggs inside of her.
Don't get me wrong, I love snakes and think they're cool, but not when such a huge one unexpectedly pays a visit so close to me. smilie

Snakes aren't evil, they eat mice. And I hate mice in my house lol.
And they aren't slimy, they're smooth to the touch. I have a pet snake. :3

I'd like a snake, but I probably won't ever get one 'cause you gotta feed them live mice and I don't think I could do that..

No, you don't have to necessarily feed them live mice. I feed my snake frozen mice that are already dead. You buy them at exotic pet stores and stuff. :3
And snakes only have to eat once a week, so it's not much hassle at all.

Yeah, some snakes do take frozen already dead mice. But ball pythons for an example are picky and prefer live ones.

I once was just getting ready for bed, and in my living room there was a snake slithering around the floor. It scared the **** out of me but once a bowl was put over it and I looked it up, I found out it was harmless, and then wanted to keep it a a pet smilie.

I was biking on a bike trail and I saw two garter snakes in the grass. I'm not really scared of them, but my dad was right behind me with our dog. You wouldn't believe how fast those snakes got out of there.

King snakes are cool. They actually help keep rattlesnake population down. And King snakes are not venomous.

I have a corn snake named Salazar, but I think he might actually be a girl. smilie
