I'm thinking about the 3ds version and I'm wondering if you can still use your adventure packs on this version of the game

I have to assume that they just do a screen special attack.

the older adventure packs dont do much. but the new one are totally different than the console version. so its two new adventures in one adventure pack if you have both games

Nightmare express is sort of a wave based challenge, you fight your way through the cars, and it's great for EXP grinding. Mirror of mystery Is also decent for leveling up, because it has around 5 treasure chests. They both are really fun, and I love the 3Ds version,but you can't play as villains, except in "boot camps". The older ones, yeah, they only do a shock wave attack from what I've seen (I don't bother using them, I've only used one)

Thanks guys. That helps a lot. But if the older ones are only attacks now then how can you use them in a level when you can only use the portal of power when you are outside of the library of archives?

You spend 30 gems that you can collect in a mission.

That makes sense, since gems are virtually worthless except for gaining exp at the end of a stage.
