My game just started saying cloud version is newer version of lost islands please update game. When I try and see if there is an update there isn't one and I tried to reload the load the game nothing works anyone else have this problem?

That message usually means that your game is corrupted. Do you have a another device you play on?
If not you will have to contact activision. In my case I had to restart and was compensated with Gems.
If you had screen shots of your it will help with your compensation.

Activision could not fix or recovery my old game (SpinCycle) so I had to create another one (SpinCycle2).
What level where you on?

This will be my second time restarting my game

contact activision, they will reimburse you some gems to get you started. The worst in this case, is losing ALL your skylander links. Ugh

There is a way past the "cloud save is newer version".

1) Take your internet access offline (ie turn it off or use airplane mode)
2) Load into the game
3) Switch internet access back on once the game is loaded
4) Quickly hammer the "Save to Cloud" button under Options while the internet is reconnecting.

If you can get a cloud save in before the game checks the cloud for an existing save you can overwrite your cloud save and all will be good again. I did it about a week ago for the second time.

I needed to turn my internet on briefly during the loading phase as I have it connected to a G+ account and it wouldn't load without choosing and connecting to a G+ account. I don't know if that would be true for your game, but if it is just connect briefly to choose your G+ account then disconnect a few seconds later (before the game can load in).

Did you try launching Lost Island without internet?

I tried launching it without Internet my profile didn't work I tried to do it with airplane mode on and then launch the game and then turn it off it it then tells me the same message that the cloud profile is a newer version then the app

You need to switch into airplane mode after it checks your profile but before it loads into the game.

Turn off internet
Launch Game
Wait for it to check your profile
Reconnect internet
Let it check your profile (give it maybe 5 seconds)
Turn off internet
Wait for game to load
Turn on internet and quickly open Options and start hammering the Save To Cloud button

It may take a few tries to get all the timings right. First time I did it I had to try it about 11 times before I got it right, the second time I got it first go.

It doesn't give me a chance to to load my profile it loads a level one profile I told activision support that this is the second time I've lost my account they have already gave me back my gems the first time and if they can roll my account back a few days it will be ok if not i might not want to start a third time

Unfortunately if you're loading in offline on a level one game then your local save has been uninstalled/deleted/overwritten somehow. In which case this trick won't help you as it relies on overwriting your corrupted cloud save with the intact local save.

Best of luck with Activision, I think it's unlikely they would hold backed up older copies of everyone's cloud saves though so I suspect gems is all you will be offered.
