I have a Windows 8 laptop. It doesn't connect to wireless internet anymore. It used to work just fine but now it doesn't, it says I need a cable to use the internet now. All the other devices in my house work just fine.

Does anyone know how to fix this?

Whenever you try to connect to the internet, does it show all of the available connections?

If it doesn't, then obviously your WiFi card is ****ed up.

uhh this might sound dumb but i remember having this problem with my old win 8 laptop and troubleshooting network problems fixed it surprisingly

Hmm that's weird.
Try turning your pc off and on again.
Try resetting your WiFi modem.
If all else fails, google your problem.

It doesn't show anything.

I've tried all of those, even google.

Although my brother is really good with electronics so he will probably be able to fix it.
