I'm going to try and sculp my own out of clay, then paint it. It probably won't look very good, because this is my first time doing anything like this.

It's not going anywhere. It is very well attached. I used a dremel with a cutting disc and cut the trap at the neck of Kaos. After removing the head the trap was still solid all the way across the trap ( I could not see inside of it to see the chip). I then used some sandpaper on the bottom of Kaos and used a hot glue gun to attach it. The entire top of the trap is glued to Kaos (not just the edges of the trap). My son no longer uses the ultimate trap, he only wants to use this trap now.

I desperately want to do this!

Sadly, living in the UK getting one of those Kaos figures is IMPOSSIBLE.

I have managed to modify a trap chip to work on the portal and would be able to make it so the figure sat next to the other figures in the portal rather than needing to be in the trap hole. Just can't get the figure to put the chip in!

I was thinking that if McDonalds does figures for Trap Team maybe we will get the Doom Raider figures and will be able to make them playable like this.

McDonalds IS giving away Trap Team figures, I heard it in a commercial (still didn't managed to see it, it always shows up when I'm busy).

The european McDonalds figures should be just some old ones, Germany, Austria and Switzerland have Jet Vac, Gill Grunt, a Chompy, Prism Break, Eruptor etc. in nov/dec. Nothing special unfortunately. Still possible that other european countries have new figures, but I doubt it.

Oh... Well, that's kind of dumb, I mean... Why specifically call them "Skylanders Trap Team toys", and even put Full Blast Jet-Vac on the packaging, if they are just old toys...?

Skylanders are accessible worldwide (well... more or less...).

We are talking about a McDonald toy, that's quite different.
