In year's past, PowerA would come up with a bag to store skylanders, and the game logo and characters would be on it.

So far, this is the only one I've seen, and it's just a treasure chest. Is PowerA planning on a Trap Team merchandise bag to store skylanders this year? Not looking for the hardshell "tackle boxes".

They also do the exclusive tackle boxes that stack at ToysRUS and a popup case at Gamestop. There is a "mini" chest in the pipeline too, that is designed to hold up to 16 minis.

My gripe is that all Trap Team PowerA items (except for the Trap case) has no references to Trap Team at all - they are generic Skylanders branded items. Seems like PowerA is setting it up so that in the future there won't need to be new releases with each new game.

OK, so if that is the case...I'm out it then. This treasure chest bag is ugly...will look at other options then. As I indicated, tackle boxes isn't for me.

It make sense to make them generic. Especially after TRU clearanced out a lot of Skylanders merchandise because it was labeled as Giants (including the PowerA cases). Stores probably don't like having to clearance out merchandise only to order practically the same thing, just with different graphics. They could still change up the graphics, but with no specific logo, they can continue to sell the older designs. Granted, causing the stores to clearance out and re-buy the new design makes more sells for them to the stores, but keeping stores happy is a plus for them.

It makes sense to them, but it doesn't make sense to me as I want to know what's in the bag. And for $30, I should. But that's ok, they can act on THEIR BEST INTERESTS, and so can I. By not purchasing.
