Now Bear with me, this is a.s. much theory and hunch a.s. it is anything else.

I have the distinct feeling that the trapmasters have been paired into themes not unlike the swapforce skylanders.

Since we don't know that much about some skylanders it's still hit and miss, but here goes:

Stealth (like stealth elf): Tuff Luck and Enigma
Charge up (like Fryno): Jaw Breaker and Lob Star
Weapon Switcher (Like Rip Tide): Gearshift and ...
Summoner (like sonic Boom): Krypt King and Thunderbotl

I have a feeling that Blastermind and Headrush are AOE based and i'm kinda stck after that.

Any thoughts?

Thats an interesting theory, but from what I recall thunderbolt is very aoe based, and yes headrush is aoe as well

Short Cut fits more for summoner than Thunderbolt.

Snap Shot could be a "Weapon Switcher", since his arrows also become a sword... But, I think it's still kind of of a stretch.

Also, I would put Wallop with Jawbreaker in the "Melee Powerhouses" category, because... Well, they ARE mostly strong melee and "basic" Trap Masters.

Interesting theory. smilie

I have the same feel with Wallop and Jawbreaker asmelee, but wel...
and I'd say Kaboom would be ranged

I thought of short cut as a summoner too but I think they wouldn't have two of the same theme in one element.

You know this is a good theory. When you think about it, smilie feels like a lot of other characters. His cannon shoots kinda like smilie, the targeting system is like smilie's rockets and his cannon jump is like smilie's elbow drop.

Speaking of pair theories, I would like to ask you a question, since I currently own only one Trap Master per Element (except for Life, Magic and of course the Mystery ones):
do the traptanium weapon's colors of two Trap Masters from the same Element differ, even slightly?

In this video you can see that Blastermind's crystals are a darker tint of purple, compared to Enigma's staff, and even Bushwhack's axe seems clearer, compared to Tuff Luck's blades.

The colors are the same, I compared snap shot to lob-star, headrush to wallop, and gearshift to jawbreaker. Of course to weapons are also the same color as the traps, tint may differ due to depth of the weapon but they are in fact the same
